How old was she during PH era ? 17 ? She was just bratty teenager as all we were. Everybody is so radical at that age. Let her mature.

Remember, Ella was fifteen and living in Auckland when she was writing and recording PH, she's now 20, so there's going to be a big development in her sound and lyrics. I think she has a lot of potential in the 'bigger' sound she demonstrated on Yellow Flicker Beat, as opposed to the (lovely) minimalism of PH.

All this back and forth is rage-inducing. It's a demo, it's not a demo, it's 2 minutes shorter, it's not, it's coming next week, it's coming in April, everyone has it, no one has it. Like let's just admit we're not completely fucking sure and we'll find out when the good sis lets us know.

The thing w heavy productions is that they get old fast. That's why most EDM tracks age like milk. That's why most pop music sounds unlistenable after like mere months. Honeymoon for instance might not be drowning in beats and samples and whatnot but its production is perfectly layered and refined and I appreciate how each musical element is in perfect harmony within the record

Sorry but i could use a bit of over production this era, not the whole album but most of it.
I adore Homeymoon, its my fav, but after that album which feels so restrained production wise, i want something much "bigger" feeling this time around, i want to be fuked up.

Can we all just agree no ones ever happy with Lana?

As far as I can tell, it was just the five seconds or so that you've already heard by now, looped. That was at the Town Hall. There was also a car parked in Ponsonby with pulsing green light and smoke coming from inside, and down at Herne Bay beach was a green sign with some lyrics. Kind of a cute little treasure hunt.

idk man I know it's a lot poppier than some of her other stuff but honestly from the 5 seconds I've heard I can still hear that 'Lorde' charm 

If Taylor Swift can go pop, so can Lorde. Her moves are already better.

The more I listen to the song, and now with the video, the more I think this is one of her finest achievements since Ride. Also her most 'likeable' (to the general public) and may well 're-brand' the old image many people have of her.
There's a lightness and airiness and joy about this era already that is like an antidote to the ugliness of 2016 and the feelings of unease and disgust that the rise of Trump and the alt-right have stirred up.
 
Also, listening to the song while high is like a religious experience 

Totally agree. I was thinking this morning (listening for the umpteenth time) that what sets her apart from her assumed 'contemporaries' (Taylor, Katy, Gaga etc) is the masterful way she uses her voice - she's not scared of restraint, at a time when so many female pop voices are really forceful and aggressive, like they're straining for you to pay attention. Lana has this incredible control and flexibility in her voice that creates the story in between the lyrics.
I dunno if that makes sense, but I'm just so happy with 'Love' 

'Love' is becoming one of my fave Lana songs. Such a beautifully written song. So excited for this album.

So crazy to see Rachel Dolezal make her reemergence in this video of all places!
