Got some good news last night, other things are brewing!

The Rhythm is out of this world. This might just be this year’s Blue Weekend (Wolf Alice) for me, it’s a really pleasant and immersive listening experience.

This has been said so many times in the thread before and I know sometimes it’s “in good fun” but speculating whether an artist is on drugs or not is really inappropriate, especially if it’s to make a mockery out of the person. Addiction is a sensitive subject and if a person is abusing substances, they should be met with compassion.

Co-signing this, her debut album Keepsake is also pretty lovely!

Unyielding and cathartic! I’m loving the sound of this album. I’ve not been wowed by many 2022 projects so far but I feel like this will change with Dance Fever.

Idk anything about dates/how much I can say without getting other people in trouble but the day before the teaser was posted my friend did tell me Sky’s stylist reached out to see if a certain brand was interested in dressing her for a comeback video. This is also how we found out about the Pitchfork cover story before anything had been announced, they’d requested a few looks for the photoshoot. I agree it isn’t right for Sky and Capitol to go back to radio silence but let’s wait a little and see what kind of rollout they have planned before you all start calling her all kinds of crackwhore and fraud, etc.

Okay y’all are doing too much now it’s one thing to come at her nonexistent career (go ahead) but it’s really uncomfortable and gross when y’all insult Sky or any other female artist on a personal level like that

Actually, let’s not hold our breath for tomorrow. I don’t think Capitol would let Maggie Rogers and Sky release on the same night, and Maggie’s rollout started earlier.

They could either drop the song this Friday or wait to simultaneously release the song and music video mid-April. This is a good sign though, there seems to be some kind of rollout in place (which severely lacked for Downhill Lullaby).

What exactly would she be innovating by “going all pop rock” is what I want to know… I’d rather have whatever she’s doing than an even more dated and immature direction ddd

It would be really messy and petty if these leaked in full tbh. If we’ve waited 3 out of the 9 years for another song, we can easily wait a few more days lol

I agree with this, I’m expecting her to pull inspiration from more “obscure” references and figureheads of that time in music, Don’t Forget snippets have always reminded me a bit of The Cure. Her producer Jorge Elbrecht is also the shit, we’re in good hands. I don’t think they’ll use the same rinsed generic sound we’ve been hearing for a while now, Sky knows she has to show something ambitious for the years she’s been away.

I mean I understand there’s an exhaust of 80s synthpop albums but if anyone excels at that sound we know it’s Sky. Even All My Lovers Die sounds a bit like a Madonna/Sade power ballad, from what little we’ve heard I think she’s evolved from the sometimes juvenile sound of NTMT.
