the way it wasn't even Jack slander, as far as I'm concerned it was just a friendly reminder that this is a discussion board and that some people have a propensity to tell others what not to post.

it's called Stockholm syndrome

I agree with this, but I will say that when someone puts their artistic output in the open, they are going to receive criticism for it, positive or negative. Just like Lana got the most cruel & vile critiques when she first started; it wasn't right or nice to read and it was definitely a reach... but it is what it is. Although I will say, I doubt my comments about Jack are bothering him in any capacity.

Still though, I think people can say whatever they want as long as it's not a direct/personal attack to an other user on here. Like who cares if someone doesn't like Jack, or Rick, or Dan, or Zach, or Dean or Emile, etc. At the end of the day, none of this matters.

My point is, it's a discussion board/forum, there are times where we come together and (almost) unanimously love something and other times where people are going to share hot takes, unpopular opinions or repeat the same so called negative arguments over and over again—it's literally the point of a discussion board, to have discussions however annoying and repetitive they might be to some.

Someone else's opinion on a song, snippet, album, video, producer shouldn't be that impactful on your life yet here you are. Love you, but you are indeed bothered by someone else's opinion on an artist or whatever as you, and other members of this community, feel the need to be like "okay we have heard this before NEXT! ". To quote my bestie the other day: "echo chamber this a$$".

Some of y'all are a little too fragile. This whole "you can share your "negative" opinions all you want, but can you not do that too too much? thank you " discourse is so fucking overdone. Imagine coming on a discussion board, and oh my, being "confronted" to a different opinion than yours and having to resist the urge to control other people's speech in a way that comforts your own likes and dislikes?? I know, it's hell on earth.

Maybe because the so called ballads on Blue Banisters were actually done right and had they come to out before NFR/Chemtrails we wouldn't even be having that conversation right now? Jack alienated the fans with his shitty piano shtick and terrible mixing skills.
-
Reliably bland. You can count on him to pack a shit ton of instruments in a single song, yet everything will get lost in the mix. Mr. Subdued does possess that talent.
-
Jack and hell-ish energy in the same sentence

I'm in awe of your analysis talent & skillz.

Thank God there are more than one producer on this record—
-
well then do that and let people be disappointed/cautiously excited in peace

It's a foregone conclusion to assume that scrolling past posts is too hard

Never even said I hated this snippet, just said people can talk about whatever Lana Del Rey related thought they want, it's not an echo chamber it's a discussion forum, sir. Music is subjective, but it's not the first time we go through this discussion.
-
the typical "if you don't like this 9 seconds snippet then die!!!1!" trope
-
it's wild to me that some people come to LanaBoards to talk about Lana's material in any way they please
-
Whatever happened to her lower, richer, darker register? That would actually be unexpected.
-
you are... not wrong.
-
well then Lana is yet again caught in a web of lies because she stated several times mastering takes months and by the time her records are done being mastered, she's ready for the next one
-
"Album nearing completion" it still takes months to master a record.
-
and it keeps going
-
Inb4 people start theorizing that the song will break into a synthy/cathartic chorus/bridge moment

It's giving Sweet Carolina meet Watercolor Eyes
