i don’t think she is. i think this is just a natural progression of being literally everywhere for the last few years, to the point that she feels inescapable even offline (she’s on buses where I am). people just get tired and things that were popular then switch to ‘overrated’ and we all know how fun it is to say you hated something first on the internet! for a long time saying the tiniest thing about Taylor that could be misconstrued as negative rallied the swifties, so if the tide turns everything people have bottled up over the last few years is just going to come out.

my friend was really looking forward to the poetry book, but it turns out the colourblindness they have makes the pink and orange look practically the same colour so it’s just a mouth and the black text (I’ve suggested maybe they can recover the book but I’m not sure they’ll be bothered to do that.)

I don’t think they really ‘mean’ anything but it’s obviously something on her mind. brat isn’t going to be the type of album to win a grammy but if she did an album selling out to the commercial mainstream? she’d have to time it right cause if it was during taylor/olivia/billie’s album cycle she, like anyone else, wouldn’t win. (it’s kind of annoying they keep sweeping, they’re talented in their own way but let someone else have a chance) she might have a better chance with a song rather than an album but again idk.

I am SO glad she's calling this out and I hope it gains some traction. these artists (though I will say this is the label too) are just putting themselves into a catch 22 position as they'll have to keep releasing more and more variants to try and top their numbers. I wish billboard (or whoever) would stop it too, I'm not sure how they would counteract it, apparently a load of k-pop stans were buying singles on different accounts so they reduced the amount digital sales counted for and upped streaming, so maybe that only the standard edition would count or something?

there are only 2 official ones the ‘to be great’ one (2:24) that leaked in 2011 and the ‘to become great’ (3:22) one that leaked in 2020, there’s a pretty popular extended edit of the 2011 one, even I thought that was the real one until I dug into it.

do we think brat might be 'continuous' like a dj mix? I don't mind if it is but I just hope all the songs stop/start in a natural place, as it's annoying if you wanna listen to one song and the outro ends with like one beat of the next song. also if you don't like one of the songs that sucks too...

I love the last half of the remix but in the first part the verse lyrics don’t really flow as well as I was expecting? it sort of sounds like a demo in which they just sung some random lines to change later (sorry)

not to be annoyingly pedantic (on a LanaBoards server? say it isn’t so) but on the wiki it says she said she wanted that many in April 2015, by May that dropped to 4-5, and in June it was just one more song, so I’m not sure how many she actually got around to writing let alone recording but yes I agree I hope we hear more than one song we’ve never heard of!! one new song for each froot would be the goal

I’m not hungry anymore about to be scrapped from froot, froot repackage, 2019 standalone release and froot 10 year anniversary joking aside I hope it’s good!! (EH felt a little low effort considering all the material she had for it but she was still under Atlantic at the time iirc?) feels a bit mean to say ‘wait until next year’ considering her track record with repackages but I hope we get when you take away control.
