it was a bit weird tbh. in the love+fear era she said she wanted to collab but 'no one wanted to work with me' then in regards to the female collab album she said that people were excited and commenting but it was difficult to organise (this was pre-pandemic and jack breakup). because she put a lot of emphasis of using a female producer and jen only did 4/13 tracks, some people questioned it and she was like 'um I meant man's world was the a female led project' which feels like a lie because it felt very heavily implied that she was going to do a female lead album, not just one song. i wonder if something happened behind the scenes because she wrote quite a nice dedication to james in the credits but jen's felt a bit stale.

I agree with this so much, I wasn't interested in her poetry to begin with, but the more recent ones seem to be touching on interesting topics. I wish she would do marinabook again, I love reading her old blogs, (although some have really not dated well) I feel like this book is a way to do a bit of a memoir. I have this delusional fantasy about her rerecording her old albums (especially with that snippet that sounded like solitaire??) and if she does I hope she gets rick nowels to do the dr luke songs. I am aware the likely hood of this is practically 0 though (also I'm not sure if her voice could do TFJ justice, she's said she can't sing like that anymore)

i’m really curious to know what she’ll do next, she only signed a 2 album deal with atlantic this time, and I suspect she got a much better deal in regards to what she could release with how successful she was with this album she might get more freedom in how she actually releases music I don’t think teasing von dutch for what felt like an eternity was really a Charli way of doing things and she said she was annoyed of posting on social media this era is such a great example of letting artists do what they want, Charli knows pop culture she should have been allowed to do that before.

well yes? it was really close, taylor dropped one variant earlier in the day, then she allowed people to buy the album digitally in the uk at like 8pm (it closes at midnight), so she obviously did feel threatened lol edit: and again, she only did this when charli was tracked to be #1, not when bon jovi were predicted to be #1 all week

she still hasn't released the anthology (the second part of her obscenely long album) on vinyl iirc so I'm waiting for her to whip that out at some point...

I think people's main gripe with taylor's variants is she adds one new thing to them, charli hasn't done this, she's just got brat and brat deluxe, taylor has her album (and her deluxe) then +1 different thing on each instead of just dropping an acoustic album / demo album. edit: people aren't upset about her releasing the same album on a different colour vinyl, it's the adding of one new track so people can't have all the acoustics/demos/whatever on one cd.
