There are no LDR songs that are overrated commercially or critically. They are all underrated (some by a wide margin) (I didn't take in consideration that bastard SS remix )

I accept that critics that try to understand an artist make their point even that's a negative one. But in Lana's case 75% of the articles are premeditated misogynistic shades written by people who put aside their artistic sensibility because they just cannot except that a beautiful and talented girl can succeed in the music business in her own peculiar way. What was shocking for the indie and for the pop elite is the fact that this girl is becoming very popular with songs that shouldn't be that popular, with a stage presence that doesn't share anything with the accustomed stage gimmicks. She's standing out and that's why she's a target for everyone in the music business. Slowly the real artists are starting to acknowledge her talent: Moroder, Auerbach, Calvin H., C. Cobain, Cyrus, S. Twain etc. are saying nice things about her songs...because they are beautiful, gorgeous. These are words that she likes and is derided by many even by some of her fans, But don't forget something cynicism is just the beginning of an intelligent life and by no means the end of it. Lana is not a cynic, she's above that, she believes in beautiful things and in romance that's why I love her and her music. I pray for her to be strong

Yea, I was wondering about that. Why isn't she interviewed in some relevant US magazine or radio about UV? The main goal (commercially) for her growth as an artist is to establish herself on the US market. But unfortunately I don't see that happening. I remember that earlier this year an American radio (I forgot their name) did a mock interview about her when some dude was pretending to be Lana and basically just mocked her for 10 minutes. Well, it isn't just about Lana is about the US media as well. We can safely assert now that the UV promotion is a mess. WC promotion was (and still is) a major failure, she's in the top 10 of the most spectacular drop out from Billboard Hot Top 100 and I don't see WC rebounding with the video or the radio remixes (I have the fool's hope on that happening). I think that the major cause for this weak promotion is that her relationship with her label is strained: her label basically abandoned her after the initial BTD promo and just stood back to see what's happening, they didn't like the Paradise EP, they forced the commercial success of the SS remix even if, today it's clear, that she had a negative attitude (correct in my view) towards that SS remix (yes, it was commercially a success, gave her more exposure but in the same time confused her perception in the GP by totally perverting the original vibe of the song), Interscope didn't participate in her TROPICO project (the entire project was basically financed and promoted by her). That's why I think that we cannot expect other than random interviews and generally a low key promotion of UV which can have some ugly commercial consequences for her (the only reason why a label will drop an artist).

I hope this is only intended for the German-speaking market where people think that Scorpions was a cool rock band. This version totally butchers the song original vibe with that silly caribbean beat, the chorus is bland compared to the original and lost all his haunting appeal. It's not bad because we are talking about Lana but WC was meant to be a soft rock anthem and I'm sure that in the upcoming video and on the album we'll have the original version. If the song would have came out first in this version it would have been derided by most of the reviewers, I'm sure of that.
