  1. I don't think she likes change. she has had the same bodyguard, bandmembers, stylist etc. from the moment her management got them for her. I don't think she would go shopping for other contracts
  2. Is it really going to be out in August tho? I know everybody here thinks: Lana says August, so it is early 2016. But she is already talking so much about it and seems to have so many songs done already. And now the artwork. It almost sounds like we could expect a single in March already
  3. At first I was really confused, she is already making another album. Most songs are already done? UV era hasn't even started yet. But now I think about it. She had a really hard time with UV, it is a beautiful album, but really really heavy/dark. She wrote it when she was in a relationship that was draining her. (I love Barrie, but clearly he is a depressing person). And now she is in a new happy relationship. I read or heard once that her muse isn't always there. And she had to learn herself or force herself to write even though she wasn't in the moment. I think that is what happened with UV. She wasn't in a good place. She still wrote a record. She was very happy with it. But having a break-up and looking back on it. She is just ready to move on. And with 9 songs already done, I really think she found her muse back and i'm really looking forward to it. Oke, this went nowhere, whatever.
  4. Why should she defend something that isn't even out in its whole. So you really can't guess the meaning behind it. also even about her music she says that her music tells all. If people don't get it, she is not going to explain it any further. and I get that if she is feeling like everything she says out loud is being twisted by the media, then speaking out about a project that isn't supposed to be out, isn't even out in its whole and where other people are backing away from isn't the smartest idea.
  5. I have a problem with it because it doesn't matter what his meaning behind it is, if he is trolling or not. There are a lot of people out there who here such things daily and it becomes normal to say such things. so yes I think we are allowed to be angry about this. Because it doesn't matter if it is just a joke or not directed to her album or whatever. violence against women is real enough. and if people especially the onces who have such an influence on a lot of people, keep making this normal to say such things it just keeps creating a place where it is normal to look down on woman. not well worded, English is not my first language, sorry. And about lana singing about violence against her. Its always personal. she is always singing about herself. never a widespread message about women in general. and she never attacks the men she is singing about. She sings about what she feels, how they make her feel, but nothing more.
  6. nooooo, I had finally giving up on searching for a paradise box set that I could afford. I forgot about it, and then this post. no but seriously, I love paradise. cola is one of my favourite songs
  7. I can see what you mean, but I don't think that's what is going on here. The problem is that she released a new album while still touring for her first album. So I do think that we will get a "real" ultraviolence tour. But yes, I do think that you are right in that she will still be singing her hits like video games and born to die in future touring. But I think this was still a born to die/paradise American tour with some added ultraviolence songs, because the album came out. And she will be doing a Ultraviolence tour + soms songs from born to die/paradise next year. Or at least that's what I hope. If she releases another ep as part of ultraviolence as paradise was to born to die, maybe she will be touring for those then. Oke, I don't even know where my train of thought is going here, and English is not my 1st language so forgive me for any mistakes.
  8. Yeah I know, I tried ordering from fnac.com too, but they don't have it. i will keep searching.
  9. Omg I want the paradise box set so badly. Can't find it anywhere, or I can't pay because its ridiculously priced
  10. wait.... so we are getting a Jessica Lange performance before we even get a Lana performance?
  11. i feel like he looks so bored. Like she is al in aww and looking up at him and being adorable and he's like. whatever, little child. here, play with my hand. let me sqeesh your face. here eat my hand. whatever.
  12. I still really think (hope) that because her album was released while doing a tour for the last album she will go full out when the actual UV tour starts. For example if she starts touring europe and later america at the beginning of 2015 she will hype up the era again. Release some videos, do some actual promoting etc.
  13. I loveeee guns and roses. This!
  14. Why can't I shake the feeling that this is more like her concept video. Like the one she will give to a director so he/she can make a real video.
  15. come on, in the born to die era she was in full make up and hair, and every little thing was perfect, and her video's where glam and all. And she got such hate for it. Yes not from us, we loved it all. But in general she was bashed as manufactured. So new era, everything low key. I don't know why that's such a bad thing? It's more like her old home style video's. I like the idea. Must say, the snippet isn't that special for me, but it's only 15 seconds so. I'll just wait for the whole clip.
  16. I said it somewehere else, don't know exactly where but I'll say it again. I don't think Ultraviolence was about lyrics at all. She already sees herself as a writer, with born to die/paradise she has shown she writes her own stuff and she is good at it. Ultraviolence is about the music. It needs to reflect a mood, the tempo changes and drowned vocals are important. It is a musical reflection of what's going on in her head. From calm to wilder, from serene to confused. Feeling sure about herself, feeling overwhelmed etc. I think all the repetitions in the choruses are on purpose. It's not about getting the lyrics or singing along, it's about laying back and feel the music. And with simple lyrics thats much easier than be constantly on top of what she is singing. I can't wait for an maybe addition to ultraviolence, I think it wil either go further down the pad of feeling instead of listening with even more guitars and stuff. Or she maybe will go back to "clearer" times. And lyrics will be important again for her. But I honestly don't think there will be ep for ultraviolence. Because she said the album was for her done with the cover of the other woman. And all the bonus songs we have are not important to the story. So new music, but not an addition to UV. (sorry for my English)
  17. I see it differently. I truly believe she is incredibly confident about her sexuality. And that it's not a big deal to her. So for her to say she slept with a lot of people is not a big thing, because she doesn't sees it as something abnormal. She even says (don't know if it is this interview of another one) that in a relationship it isn't for her always about the love and feeling, but that as long as the physical aspect and the chemistry is there, she is down. That's important to her. And I don't see the problem with that, or that it implies that she is actualy really akward. It's not like she needs to make this virgin-esque statue of herself taylor swift like, to be a good girl. Because if you see sexuality as a normal aspect of who you are and don't have a problem with it there is no problem. you can be a good person and enjoy yourself. And that doesn't mean that she can't have meaningful realtionships. Like with Barrie, she had a relationship with him for 3 years, she clearly was in love. And now it is over, she don't seem to have a problem to be with other men just for physical realtions. And one day she will fall in love again and have a relationship. I really don't know where I am going with this, but really, I can not see your point at all. But maybe that's my fault.
  18. I think that however insecure she is about herself and being on stage. She is incredibly confident in her sexuality. It is the part that most people struggle with in their lives and with how other people might view it. But for her it is not a big deal. It is I think the only thing aside from feeling good about her music that she is 100 percent secure in.
  19. Yeah but she has also a lot of songs with titles that don't even appear in the song itself. So I don't really think she purposely forced a certain word in to a song. If it didn't feel right for her she wouldn't sing it, so she must be happy with it.
  20. @ I dunno, I think it may be deliberate. The album was out last month. Apparently touring doesn't start till next year. So if she releases new music videos from August to December they keep the album in the press.
  21. I got the idea that Ultraviolence isn't supposed to be about the lyrics really. But more about the music and the flow and feeling. Al the chaotic instrumentals, the tempo changes, it presents her state of mind at different times in her life or even in moments. We know Lana can write really well, so I think all the repeating is done on purpose, to shift the focuse from the lyrics on to the flow of the song itself. I think it's also why a lot of the vocals are drowned out by the instrumentals. It's not meant to be carefully listened to, to understand the lyrics, it's meant to be felt.
