I love FIILY so much, it has such real Lizzy Grant vibes esp. the "turn the radio on, dancing to a pop song" line where does those vocal harmonisations that don't quite fit together . I think TG is a better pop single tho in terms of what the general public will respond to but it feels like she was trying to satisfy both stans and the public with this double single release.

the windbreaker would be so much less ugly without the whole album cover on the back who tf desgined that I felt like I related to BtD better when it came out, but I've grown and changed as a person since then and while it will always have a special place in my heart I don't get that same connection I once had to it. NFR feels like it's channelling my current state of emotions better.

I love seeing her smiling so much and enjoying herself. I love and identify w/ the sad girl shit but happiness > sadness.

truly the opposite for me! listening to UV for the first time was a cerebral experience and one I'm never going to forget. There's other albums that I think back on really nostalgically and wish I could have that experience of listening to the first time again (Ys is a good example). There's something so magical to me about hearing a powerful album that really clicks with you for the first time and being able to have that point of comparison for how your tastes change and how you interact with the album. But obv there are many different ways to appreciate music and no truly 'correct' one.

In the end I think you only rob yourself of a richer experience. You only get to hear this album for the first time once.

I'm sympathetic to that, it's been a draining era but I personally want my first listen through of the album to be as full and complete as possible. It's not so much the leak itself I take issue with, just the quality.
