Tea but I felt this way even before she announced COCC yesterday. The covers album would be nice to have, but original songs are always going to be far more interesting imo

Dropping it ON Christmas Day would be quite crackheaded, so she might If she comes through then I will withdraw my rant. If she doesn't come through, I'll post an even angrier Christmas one.

Maybe I'm just in a bad mood because I hurt my foot on a supermarket trolley but I think it's really shit if she doesn't say anything and doesn't release this for Christmas. I was expecting her to flake on it because it's less than two months for a whole album and I never thought she'd truly be capable, and it's not that I really care that much about it personally now that COCC is coming, but I know others were really looking forward to it. Of course she doesn't give a fuck what some rando (me) on LanaBoreds thinks but I can't help but feel irritated. She still has like 48 hours 'til Christmas so you never know, but it's not looking good and if she doesn't drop it then imo she needs to at least explain why. It isn't good enough to just announce COCC for January 11. Something like ""hey kids cocc isn't going to take as long as I thought so I've chosen to work on getting that to you sooner than expected rather than focusing on the covers album, which I will have for you at some point" would suffice.

Yes I feel like this + all the butts might overshadow the actual music. I hope not "Lana Del Rey sports ineffective mask in music video full of female nudity" or some shit on the Daily Mail

She will cover whatever she feels like covering, and we know she sucks at describing albums, so I don't expect this to be an exception

I can't remember if I already said this on here but I feel like Somewhere Over the Rainbow has a good chance of being on the album, if the album is still a thing. She loves Judy, has hinted at Wizard of Oz-ish themes and it's a really pretty song.

Agreed; I thought they were really distracting in the LMLYLAW performance. Background singers are supposed to elevate the artist but I thought they overwhelmed her. Presumably, Lala directed them to sing as they did so it isn't their fault but I think they all need to find a way to be more cohesive. If sis relies too heavily on them in live shows it could be disastrous because she has a relatively quiet voice.
