I'm sure that it will be 1 of 3 CoCC-songs on her upcoming Chemtrails Over The Country Club Tour (tm), the other ones being For Free and the title track (where she mostly relies on the backrack for 2/3 of the song) maybe she does a halfassed White Dress acapella for one show and randomly performs DBJAG at two shows.

I think that's a pretty biased assumption. Not in mainstream pop, nah, most huge artist in that genre release a lot of singles because that works best with Streaming. But a lot of alternative/ indie pop artists, aswell as artists from other genres like folk, blues, and certain subcategories of rock are still really focussed on albums.

It's actually not that rare since like 2018 to release a buzz-single close to release, especially for "album artists".

I doubt that still works with the "TOWPAWNGAS HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWT TONITE, I JUST WANNA PARTAY WITH U, I'M TAKING OFF MAH BATHINGSUIT"-version of the track. I suppose the "yin and yang" thing was aimed at how Yosemite was hopeful and happy and how BAR was bitter and disappointed.

I only remember the mockup with a mediocre still of her in the red car from the CoCC vid.

I'm so distressed about the fact that we still don't know what the poster for the HMV version will be. I'm scared that it will be a floppy screenshot from the CoCC video and not a flawless picture from Neils screenshot.

Idk but I don't feel like it will have any resemblances to UV, HM or AKA. I think it will be what she wanted to do with LFL initially, before she started to lose the focus it became a mess of an album.

Usually you do BOTH to not let the hype die down in the first place though. And her "teasing" is just posting random stuff without any further information

A single close to release makes sense promo-wise, but not when it was proceeded by over 2 months of nothing.

I hope WD comes this week because seriously ... the last single got released on January 12 and we got no actual promo since that, apart from the Mojo interview. It would have been much better to release the single on the 26th, because I don't really see the use in letting all the excitement die down for over two month and then release a song when the full album is alread around the corner. I know y'all are scarred by the whole NFR snippet game and some of you are in the masochistic-chastity-belt-club, but if we are realistic, then a single release last week would have made the most sense (not that "making sense" has any relevance when it comes to Matcha Del Rey)

I feel the opposite. If WD really comes out only a week before the album release, this will be the most anticlimatic, excitement-killing "close to release"-era so far.

This teaser makes it seem like the song will be released this week (friday? wednesday? monday?) On the other hand it's Lana, so I still suppose it'll be out on the 12th

I'd prefer to have WD now instead off getting it a week prior to the album. That way, it could really shine much more and the wait would be more fun.

I never talked about any other songs or about cringyness. I just feel like LMLY is .. empty. the everses qre nice but the chorus and the bridge are just devoid of meaning, they feel random and uninspired.

But Love Song actually has some pretty nice lyrics that go along with the vibe and pace of the track. LMLY is cute but after listening to it, you still have no idea what that melodramatic phrase is supposed to mean and the bridge is so thrown-in.

It will be abut something not related to her art all, like the birthday of one of her matcha tea friends or the 10th obit of one of a Coney Island hooker she stanned.

I do't know why, but the translation is just somewhat funny. "hacer el puente" sounds like it is some sort of yoga-instruction

It will be a disappointment because the way the video is cut is not in sync with the flow of the song AT ALL

We had 0 official announcements about the time of the official release and were all set for a certain fake-date in May (?) and then she posted "21 July fam" out of the blue, crashing all hopes.
