  1. Haha she really doesn't give a shit does she? "As always" ... I remember her being blacklisted in french radio for bs like that after UV.
  2. She took it to a level where she literally IS like the other basic charts girls singing over boring DJ-beats with Luis Fonsi
  3. Yawn. I can't wait for the fReEdOm Of SpErCh guy to appear with another essay
  4. I did not expect Billie to deliver something a la Golden Eye, Skyfall or The World Is Not Enough. That's just not her style. But that track is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too "sad ballad" for my taste. Would have preferred her to do something a bit more experimental, "more Billie" than a stripped down sad ballad with the obligatory orchetral-build-up during the finale. It's a cute track, but not really as a Bond-song.
  5. So it's not just L+F. The woman really lost her mojo and will now release basic, interchangeable music with boring charts-production-instrumentals and mediocre vocals forever. So sad
  6. It's ok. Nice track but pretty much a mashup of the ususal Sevdaliza stuff with a slightly more pop-ish vocal melody. I preferred the sound of the tracks from the supposedly scrapped album a.k.a. Rhodes, Key and Kalim
  7. I mean ... award shows are usually rigged and I would have loved it if Lana won because I love NFR but ... Where were you guys in 2019? The whole f*cking year was a Billie Eyelash-Hype so her getting the award is really anything but "rigged"
  8. Born To Die I will love you 'til the end of time I would wait a million years Promise you'll remember that you're mine Baby can you see through the tears? Paradise Don't break me down I've been travelin' too long I've been trying too hard With one pretty song Ultraviolence My baby lives in shades of cool Blue heart and hands and aptitude He lives for love, for women, too I'm one of many, bonnies blue Honeymoon We could cruise to the blues Wilshire Boulevard if we choose Or whatever you want to do We make the rules Lust For Life You get ready, you get all dressed up To go nowhere in particular Back to work or the coffee shop Doesn't matter 'cause it's enough To be young and in love Norman F*cking Rockwell And who I've been is with you on these beaches Your Venice bitch, your die-hard, your weakness Maybe I could save you from your sins
  9. Ok but we all knew that was going to happen. And it's probably not because of the robbery but because she was having a fun time at the beach with Fucksticks and her cringegirls .
  10. So you wanna say she IS in charge of the high budget video she does with a professional but she is NOT when it comes to to one her sister did? Does not really sound very logic.
  11. I'm sure all of this depressing shot pushed her into filming a video where she behaves like Judy from down street at 16 years, shortly after puberty hit and shortly before she crashed her moms car in a terrible accident.
  12. Without any attempt for drama or talking abput priviledge: the video is terrible. Especially the Bartendes segment. Back in the day, her homemade vids were moody and fit the atmosphere of the song they belonged to. This is just random footage of a grown woman behaving like a rich 16 year old schoolgurl who thinks she's cRaZy N cUtE overlapping a beautiful, emotional and atmospheric piano ballad. It's extremely BAD from any artistic point of view since the incoherence doesn't even seem like an active decision. There is nothing "to get" here, no matter how hard self-proclaimed dyhard stans pretend. I consider NFR an excellent album but it's sad to see how much her quality as a visual artist with a feeling for the right mood has decayed since the Honeymoon era.
  13. Let's be honest. It's bad and that was to be expected. Lame concept, weak lypsyncing and no one wants to see her cringy background dancers. The "special effects" ... let's not talk about it. It's just boring during NFR and HIAB, but Bartender DEFINITLY deserved better than this "we are the coolest gurls in middle school"-treatment. Like really ... this is as cringy as it gets.
  14. You are entitled to your opinion. You have every right to post it. But by now, pretty much everything has been said, you are just sticking around posting how awful you think this album is on EVERY fucking page of this thread and I don't really get why you just can't let it go. The album has already been out for 4 months by now. You posted your criticism, most of it very well worded, but by now it's a safe bet that when ANYTHING about this album happens, like an interview or a nomination or whatever, you'll be here to tell us how awful the album truely is. I did not like Marinas last album at all. I was pretty vocal about it on the MATD thread and people got triggered cause they can't handle someone criticising something they like. However, after I made my points I LEFT the MATD thread and did not come back every day, for every music video or interview, to reinforce my opinion. Why invest my energy into something I don't like that much and annoy people who might like it? And pls, making a freedom of speach issue out of this ... just don't. Really.
  15. Can you get over it then? Gawd you are on every page of this thread acting up as the negative nancy, posting why you hate the album and Jaxk so much. We got it. It's getting annoying by now.
  16. Lana's approach to songwriting is pretty different to Fiona's. however NFR (the song) is sonically similar to what Fiona did on her early records. The progression of NFR always reminds me of Love Ridden
  17. So A gatekeeper is someone who guards an entry, a gate, and decides who gets in and who doesn't. That's their job, their responsibility. Her carefully dropping the keys to said gate as soon as she's off duty means she does not really care for her task, she does not identify with it and only does it when she has to. Could be a metaphor for living a life you don't want to live, having to do stuff you don't really care for. Lana wants to be a singer and songwriter, but the music business forces her to do all sorts of other stuff she does not want to (e.g. dealing with paparazzis and harsh critics)
  18. You see, I've also been called rude or negative because I criticised stuff other people hyped. Everyone should have their opinion and I think it's great you can elaborate yours so good. Criticism is important for art either way, as it can be extremely constructive. And I'm totally there for arguments about music, as long as they deliver good counterpoints (something a lot of the members here are not capable of, they are either YAAAASSing or talking about how something is THE.WORST.THING.EVER.) BUT Coming to the thread everyday to post on and on about why you think it's such a bad album is not really much above coming here just to post how much you love song X. You made your point, you worded it well, however if there is no real discussion about it going on, then it's quickly getting annoying if you just keep shoving out negativity.
  19. There is a difference between discussing/ critique and beating a dead horse. You guys made your point. Several times. We all got how you feel about the album. And you are entitled to your opinion. Right now it is actually reaching a level where you ARE in fact just spreading negativity for the sake of it though.
  20. Yawn. She comes up for 1000 apologies for not putting out stuff. Then she constantly blames people for ripping her off. I have a feeling we do not get new music because it's HER who is a nightmare to work with for anyone else involved in her projects
  21. Lol whut? People have been overrating it since the moment it was released
