I don't say you have to like everything an artist does. I think it's important to criticize. But if you are really not having this era, why stickaround and male negative comments for the sake of it?

Wow, SOTW sounds lovely. The piano and the strings are so eerie, the subtle guitar-work is pretty nice and I love the effects on her voice. Nothing spectacular but good to have.

God we'll have a great album at the end of the month and you guys literally fight each other for nothing. All I care for is if we'll really get SOTW this friday

I guess the live lounge will include Mariners Appartment Complex, How To Disappear, Season Of The Witch and shortened version of Venice "Chick". I could imagine that she'd also do the title track or one of the ."cuter" songs like Love Song/ FIILY.

Hm ... especially in combination with the previous snippet we had ("you don't ever have to be stronger than you really are when you're lying in my arms") I kind of got it as a song about a friend/lover who does not think he/she can actually count on Lana and is not telling her about his/her troubles. So Lana reassures them that they in fact CAN count on her.

Not happy with the lyrics change at all - I get that she has a different view on it by now, but I LOVE the bitter vibe on the original version. The new lyrics sound so forced and kind of bland .. "I just wanna party with you" ... ugh. But whatever, it still sounds great and that's what counts most.

I actually REALLY love the HTD produciton. It's so low-fi melancholia. Would have probably loved the track whichever way it'd have turned out though, since I just the whole track's vibe and her vocals are so flawless on it. NOT a fan of BARs new lyrics. I loved the track's bitter vibe ("Tell me how it treats you now!"). Ok, she's at another more mature point by now, but the replaced lyrics just sound a bit too forced. "I just wanna party with you" - oh come on. But whatever, at least the song stayed true to it's wonderful sound - y'all whiny "i WaNt A nEw PrOdUcTiOn" greeders can choke The Greatest sounds like an epic, vocal highlight. And the new California snippet made me even more excited for the song. FIILY sounds like a cute track, maybe not the album's highlight but still pretty nice. The chorus sounds pretty classy, even though the lyrics are very .. simple. A bit torn about the new glimpse we got on Love Song. The lyrics are cute and I guess so is the whole track, but .. not really too astonishing. Then again, it's just a short snippet that cuts off very abruptly. The Bartender snippet does not excite me at all. Not that it sounds bad but - not really exciting at all. But that's probably just the snippet. All in all I'm very excited about the album, it seems like it will be a very coherent experience with an overall high quality. LFL had a lot of nice tracks but was just a hot mess when looked at as an album. NFR seems to be playing in UV/HMs league.

Nah. I'm the first one to criticize something an artist I love does if I don't like it. Everyone has the right to do that.But it's a bit annoying that when we get so much nice stuff from her since last wednesday AFTER ALMOST A YEAR OF SILENCE some of you are mainly busy bashing basically everything of that. And it's always such "all or nothing"-bashing where there seems to be no levels between "I love it" and "I despise it". It's probably rly unfair to write this as a direct reply to one of your posts since it's not something that I think only you are doing - but well, you asked.

My favourite part of the album trailer is the intro, the obvious greenscreen-surfing and the vintage commercial font over them.

If Europe really gets two less songs that would rotally ruin my excotement for the album. I hate having to dig around for tracks so the album is complete (aka UV) and I really don't want to pay loads of shipping to import a fcking cd from murica
