She's really the gift that keeps on giving. I love the key she's singing in on this piece! So Martyr is "Lovers Mourn" while Darkest Hour was "Artists Mourn". Exciting concept!

I love both the new 1335 version amd RIP Beth literally breaks my heart. She's such a gift of an artist

If he'd hoard it for himself that would be ok, but the way he teases and boasts about that stuff is disgusting -

Haha Eclipse, the most entitled acting "fan" ever who actually teased LfL material (and thus provoked the eventual leak of Love and BAR) and then felt like an exclusive journalist when she pmd him and told him some random stuff so he'd keep his mouth shut about LfL. Someone who needs the fanbases jealousy and begs for leaks in order to function should not post rants like that. -

Nowhere. Lana herself posted the video back in the day. Those are Summertime Sadness outtakes. -
Haha I love it when smart production and writing becomes "faux deep" when ppl try to defend basic music. There are plenty of examples how simple music can be great. "Love & Fear" is just going with the most mainstream-ish, already aged-like-milk way of production that lacks any kind of soul. But yeah, to each their own I guess.

Haha, the amount of pretentious gays brabbling about Hope Sandoval and Mazzy Star, yet whining about "too many slow ballads". Hillarious. -

Yup, that's what I thought too. The atmosphere would fit aswell -
sounds great. I like the lyrics and the vocal delivery alot. Could that maybe be the blurred out song that appeared in one of Chuck's IG posts? The "and then the day is done. I pray" one?

I'm not talking about the topuc, I'm talking about the songwriting and production. Neither are very good or "mature" at all

She's a 33yo woman that does the most bland charts-music and shoots the most unemmorable vacation-resort-commercial music videos. OAHAHOAANNNGGGE and yOu aRe mY sUpErStArrrrr are not quite mature or adult or anything LOL.

I really LOVE Night Time, My Time (the song) and 24hours. Always had a bit of a hard time getting into the full album though. Downhill Lullaby really got me excited though, I hope she actually comes through with Masochism and delivers an album as interesting as it's lead-single.

Have you listened to the shit Marina has put out lately? I'd rather have no new music than this aged-like-milk-mainstream-trash -
Listened to the record not really expecting anything but I wanted to check her out since I'm gonna go to a festival where she plays this summer. I think her music is actually quite nice, the over-edgy-persona is a bit stupid but i guess that's acceptable since she's ACTUALLY still a teenager. "bad guy", "my strange addiction" and "bury a friend" are pretty fun songs, "8" has this slight Lilly-Allen-as-an-emo-teen-vibe and "listen before i go" turned out to be suprisingly touching. My favourite track is probably "xanny" though. Not an album I'll spend too much time listening to, but it's fun and well thought out and the production has more depth than the basic sounds that some (formerly great) indie-pop singers like Lykke Li or Marina have been putting out lately.
-
I always thought Night Time, My Time (the song) was the best track she ever did so I'm glad this new sound seemingly goes more into that direction instead of the more shrill and pop one.
-
Wow this sounds great and I like he visuals she's going with s o f a r. Now she only has to manage to NOT cancel it.

Sounds great. Can't wait for it to be cancelled again.

Lana's lacking live performances - a discussion

As already said before - there is no excuse for playing any BtD song but Summertime Sadness and Video Games. Born To Die and Blue Jeans should be optional tracks for a setlist but that's it. The shows are played to audiences featuring over-obsessive-stans either way, so there is no reason to bring the "bUt BtD iS hEr mOsT pOpUlAr aLbUm". EVERY other artists switches their live-sets to mainly new songs when they release an album. For Lana it's a highlight if she decides to perform MTWBT 3 years after it's release and if she "adds some spice" to her setlist it means she's doing Lolita or OTTR The worst thing is when she comes around with the "the band has not learned the track yet" excuse. Her instrumentals aren't that complex and if the band was actually not able to learn those new songs, she should ditch them. Maybe her vocals have improved, but every tour after the Paradise-tour was a big decline. By now, she has those annoying backgroundforeground-dancers that do cringy moves while Lana herself performs the most commitment-issues-loaded, half-assed version of the "choreo". And she barely even sings and lets the backing vox do all the work. But then, most of the fans are only there to celebrate their stan-ism, to shout and cry and sing along and behave like a child. I can see why there is not really any use in putting effort into performing. If she actually hits some great notes, noone will hear it because they all scream their lungs out with their pathetic YAAAAASS-ing anyway.- 143 replies

She does not ride it though. The NFR horse dies in the back while she behaves like a cringy teen on her social media and posts pics of her it-gurl friends, who look like the most unlikeable people in the world EVER. -

Judging by how basic her music and visuals are during that era, the basic name-change is fitting -

She managed to completely lose the "Lana Del Rey aura" she established during BtD - HM. The process started during LfL and now that she behaves like a generic rich16yo white gurl on instagram it's come full circle. Nothing artistic or mysterious left, I actually mostly cringe whenever I see any of her posts. To make it even worse, she proves to be the most laziest person in the world with her visuals lately and is a boring, lazy sh*t when it comes to giving us some pretty basic informations about the album she teased like hell during the last year. -

The popularity argument is so f*cking stupid by now. Her shows sell out because her batshit obsessive fans buy tickets. There is no reason to just be playing "tHe PoPulAr aLbUm". Besides this, other artists constantly change up their setlists aswell. She's just fucking lazy, that's it. There is no valid reason to perform any BtD song apart from Summertime Sadness and Video Games by now anymore.
