  1. This. But having heard what HTD will probably sound like, I trust in Lana's skills. As long as SHE does not get messy, the album will probably still be good.
  2. That fake ass instrumental playback
  3. A Marina collab would have never fit onNFR. I#m happy for every collab we get confirmed as not-existing
  4. Do you remember her short blonde phase after HM where she would appear at multiple events in a similar short time period?
  5. Wow she looks great! Why is Asap Rocky dressed up as an elderly cleaning lady though
  6. God I just heard that disgusting robo-call that's seemingly going around in Georgia ... Really feel the need to puke now
  7. My favourite game-soundtracks ever are the Silent Hill soundtracks composed by Akira Yamaota. Especially the Silent Hill 2 one is soooo iconic (not really a suprise, since it's also the best game from the franchise) Some more tracks: (but seriously, just listen to it in full) Another soundtrack I'm pretty fond of is Alice: Madness Returns https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOP26WOOMbc&list=PL52DFFB5C42AE4089&index=1 Having grown up with the classic Tomb Raider games, I always get super nostalgic when listening to the old soundtracks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YaBvHqMWyxI And then there are a lot of indie games withthat have woooonderful soundtracks aswell. Like Grim Fandango https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5_ZpFlWr9c The Journey Down https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbzLhnqL77A The Cat Lady https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msg_DMtuXVE Or this little gem called Journey Of A Roach https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZO68H1lGvFA
  8. Wow, feels like BtD/Paradise all over again. Living for it, I want to see huge Lana billboards in my town again! How does a beach album contradict a Gucci campaign? It's not neccecary to make braindead Charli Xbox music in order to be on a commercial. In contrary, it's actually much better to be somehow unique in order to be an effective face for a campaign.
  9. It's a messy album that was obviously changed and overthrown multiple times. You can like it but stop trying to make it something it's not
  10. Both Venice Bitch and MAC kind of remind me of Mazzy Star/ Hope Sandoval. Especially this track: The way it starts simple and folk-ish and then kind of gets a bit spacy-psychodelic-ish later.
  11. God, she started with amazing stuff like Mowgli's Road and Obsessions and now she's putting out trash like that. Sad.
  12. Not everything must be 100 percent autobiographic, especially not in a literal sense. I think it's pretty obvious she's talking about men she had a love affair or at least a very strong friendship and how they "faded away". John seems to impersonate the BtD era, Jim is quite UV-ish. Then, in the end, both men have "disappeared" and she's lived her life. She's got a kid now, she's got a house, she's got a career - she's settled. Yet, she still thinks about those old days. And I feel like the last chorus is adressed at either the fictional kid or a new lover - she assures him, she WON'T fade, like her past lovers.
  13. Y'all are always so ... literal. The part about the kids represents maturity and the fact she's moved on from those "wild" days with John and Jim. She's settled, probably with another man, lived her life, but still thinks avout the past day
  14. It sounds boring now and it has nothing to do with "being true to yourself". She spends too much time with those "love yourself" ted-talks. But the main issue is her talent fading. Baby is a mainstream-mess-shit and Emotional Machine sounds like she searched the garbage can for some EH leftovers.
  15. The final Disconnect was already super plain, the name change and now both Baby and Emptional Machine sound generic and uninspired af
  16. My ranking, based on what we got so far HTD > Cinnamon = Sylvia > MAC > VB >> HIAB
  17. Kind of feel like the John-verse is BTD/P (the beer-line alluding to VG and the overall mood of crying on someone's shoulder cause life is hard) and the Jim verse is UV-related (the name being used, the man noone can love, violence) and then in the end there's the more mature Lana
  18. I loved the first HTD snippet, I loved the parts that played during the livestream and this performance proves I was right. It feels like such a ... big and somehow mature track. We've come from the exciting BtD/P days with the Hollywood glamour, through UVs intense darkness, HMs stripped back artistic sound over LfLs messy semi-mainstream music. Now we're here seeing her perform HTD and it feels so ... full circle. So 100% Lana. Beautiful!
