You are aware that an "album full of VBs" would completely suck up the interesting aspect of VB as a track, cause it would just be one of many songs with that kind of sound and length? I'm here for tracks with a similar production, but I think VBs vibe goes perfectly along with HTD and MACs stripped back sound. If any HM track has SOME SORT of trip hop inspiration it would be Salvatore, although it sounds more like a backtrack-beat to an ACTUAL trip hop beat. Religion has pretty much classic drums, they just get pretty intense during the bridge

It is. Beats in trip hop are usually done carefully and they can do A LOT with a track. A plain trap beat like the one in HBTB might be fun but has a much lower range of effect

I can't at ppl who actually act like LfL was SUPPOSED to be the incoherent mess it is. Lana messed it up because she changed her mind three times halfway through the album, tried to get a hit, forced some collabs and wanted to be pOlItIcAl out of a sudden. That gave us this record that doesn't really have an album feeling but is more of a collection of tracks thrown together.

Can't understand why some of you think the sole fact of "I like this artist" and "I like that artist aswell" makes for a good collab. Artists really have to somehow match each other to make a collab sound good. Hozier isn't bad but I can't imagine that a collab would sound anything but just as forced as BPBP and LfL.

Way before Born To Die (the album) was released, after I heard Video Games on the radio and looked Lana up on Youtube, I found a demo version of Diet Mountain Dew (I think it's the one she still has on her channel?). I listened to it alot while having a crush on someone. Sínce that day, I associate the song with this warm "rose-colored-glasses"-/ getting-butterflies-feeling you get when you are having a crush on someone. Some time later, after Paradise's release, I got my driving licence. Paradise played nonstop in my car. During that time I had a pretty bad crush on a guy from my school, who was obviously not interested (and not gay). And for some reason Burning Desire kind of makes me think about him even now. I love the song but it's so attached to that memory, that it makes me feel uncomfortable listening to it. Kind of cringy that out of all the songs on Paradise, I associate the song about having a longing for someone and driving around with this time, but that's just how things go I guess

I agree with you in that Lanas usual approach to being political - may it be her statements in interviews or the "political" tracks on LfL- is something a bit washed down. But her statement towards Kanye was actually pretty on point.
