The fact that Miss Hehitmeanditfeltlikeakiss drinks from the feminist-as-fuck cup I hope the collab is on Mernas record. I don't want any popartists on NFR. The only collab I could see working would be a folky-duet with a male singer. I stll dream of a Mark Lanegan duet

Still can't get into VB. I just don't like her vocals and the melody (you know, the one during the first 2-3 minutes of the track) is so ... not my thing. Really annoys me. MAC on the other hand grew on me a lot! And I'm sooo excited for another artistic vanity project a la Honeymoon (as long as not all lyrics are as tumblr-esque as the ones on Venice BIAAATCH)

I just hope Talking Like An Answering Machine will see the light of day. It just intrigues me

Not really sure how to feel about it. I like the direction she's taking for the album, I like that it seems to be a more artistic project again and I like that it will seemingly have a distinct sound. But VB ... not really into it. I don't like the vocal melody at all and although I'm usually here for something more experimental, the track feels like it just randomly dragging on with a few things thrown in randomly. However, I'm still thrilled about what the album will sound like. I'm sure it will be another record with a cohesive listening experience. And I really liked MAC

Didn't the Fader already published the 18th as Venice Bitch's release date? I hope it's really a mini-EP, but yeah - probably just MAC and VB: ANd I seriously hope it's got another cover, but I guess it will be the same terribly unflattering picture aswell, since MAC does already feature the Venice Bitch shirt - plus it's not unusual for not-lead-singles to have the same artwork as the release they stem from. I hope Venice Bitch will either have a bit of a sexy, mysterious Mermaid Motel vibe or a moody tone a la Money Power Glory/ FMWUTTT

That is as cringeworthy and kitschy (and not in a good way) as the porcelain doll collection in a grandmas fuggy living room.

We are used to not getting stuff when we expect it. If you don't expect anything, you can only be suprised in a good way.

Apart from the fact that the initial post is right, that's a pretty ambitious statement coming from someone who consistently graces us with bad-taste

Lol it's obviously not the lead single. 0 promo and Lana saying she never expected it to be played anywhere and just wanted it to be out there as she liked the track.And as if putting Coachella on LFL instead of having it as a standalone single was not the most abstruse thing to do ever

MAC is more like a vanity release and notreally meant to be a big single or the introduction to a new era. I'm not even sure if it will actually be on the album or if it's just from the same sessions. Lana herself said she was suprised it's on the radio. Love and Summer Bummer were singles from a promoted record, one featured a rapper with his own dedicated fanbase. Of course they got more views

Seems like the music will be more "personal" and artistic again, less focused on flashy, pop-ish productions like LfL. More like UV or HM. Really looking forward to the electric guitars, the surfer-vibes and the Red Hot Chili Peppers influences.

Electric guitar, RHCP influences, surf influences ... sounds good! I hope there won't be a LfL situation with this album again.

She just looks bad on it. Not because of the styling, not because "she's too fat" or whatever. It's just not a very good picture, more like a pretty bad one. One a friend takes when you are not paying attention and you immediatly ask them to delete it.It's not that deep, spare me of you snotty "artistic bone" speech and re-evaluate on the question of whether you should not keep you unnessecary rudeness to yourself.

Unflattering images are unflattering. Pointing this out on this OBVIOUSLY bad pic has nothing to do with "telling a woman how she should look".

She writes and records stuff all of the time but we don't get to hear it. Even if she's working on a new record, I doubt those two songs are related to it.

Just cause she has not done it yet, does not mean she can't do it now. So far nothing hints at an EP or album.

Stop trying to trick yourself into disappointment. Knowing how those things with Lana releases usually go it will come out next thursday

Not liking LfL is THE proof of taste though, isn't it?
