  1. for the 2nd verse, i hear:

swoon in my mouth & gold hoops

you like your little baby like you like your drinks, cool

white lines, pretty daddy goes, "kid, you snort it like a champ

like the winter we're not in"

not sure about the last line tho.

  2. this song is heaven :legend:

does anyone else really, really love everything about the 2nd verse? the way she sings it, the lyrics...

    The sun also rises
On those who fail the call
    My life it comprises of
Losses and wins and fails and falls

I can do it if you really, really like that
I'ma what you really want, b-b-b-b-baby
I can do it if you think you like that
    You should run, boy, run

    :defeated:

  3. It's really not like the booklet lyrics mean much anyway. Sure they help us clear some stuff up sometimes, but BTD and Paradise both had mistakes.

I thought she meant that his bonny on the side, "side chick", makes her a sad girl.

So does his money on the side, because it's probably drug money.

i thought the exact same, actually. i took this song as being about a relationship where both people are cheating on each other.

  4. everything is so slow :/ i don't understand why she is going in this direction when her best songs are upbeat. could have thrown a couple in there to break up the monotony at least. maybe some will have tempo changes.

but i'm not giving up hope yet bcos i really wasn't into the brooklyn baby snippet and the full song is just  :cumming:

  5. lana is really ignorant. i love her but i never, ever expected her to say she's a feminist and on some levels i'm glad she doesn't. i'd rather her be honest that she's not invested in feminism than pretend her shtick is ~sew empowering~ like miley does. we shouldn't look to celebrities to be our feminist icons because they will ALWAYS have to compromise to be appealing to the masses.

i just wish she wouldn't speak about social issues like these and say "no comment" instead. she's too much of a privileged individualist to understand the importance of feminism.

  6. i am obsessed with lana and i know it's a reoccurring theme of hers, but i have trouble digesting the whole romanticization of abuse thing. ultraviolence is an absolutely beautiful song but it's ruined by "he hit me and it felt like a kiss." it's one thing to portray an abuse relationship, it's another to glorify it. i don't get it.  :pft:

  8. Whoever this professor of hers was, he must be a manipulative fucker... reading Lolita to a teen and making out with her... sounds like abuse to me. I'd punch his face. Even tho Lolita is my fave novel since I was 12, someone playing Humbert disgusts me.

exactly my problem. i don't blame lana or any young girl for having an obsessive crush on their teacher, but he obviously stepped over the line. actually the way lana talks about lolita is pretty disgusting. she thinks it's a love story for crying out loud. no doubt because of that teacher.
