It is an independent media (one of the most pretigious ones Europe wise, actually). No subscriptions and donations, no journalism.

Cant say that I share the approach, but at least seems like a honest, therefore fair one.

This site is actually the only place I know about where that consensus (fortunately!) doesnt exist. NFR kinda started a civil war between Lanaboarders which hasn't still ended I think, hahahaha

Couldn't agree more with this. She's about to release what's shaping up to be her most complex, intrincate and diverse album from a musical, lyrical and artistical point of view, yet critics are already releasing their prefabricated views based on whats safe to say within their field, disregarding absolutely the freaking album they have in their hands. Not that this wasn't something expectable, but it doesnt make it less frustrating.

Not to offend anyone here, but NFR already seemed (except for 2/3 songs) like quite a weak album compared to COCC, and putting it against BB is just absurd. I absolutely respect the fact that people can like one album more than the other (be them which they may), but all the NFR discourse on that review has absolutely zero to do with artistic elements on NFR (there isnt any reflection based on that criterion there) and everything with the critics reception of that album. Saying that an album is "a masterpiece" just because critics have said so is absurd. I truly, truly miss some approach to that album that differs from the "official" one. It's hurtful to see that BB isnt even out yet and still it's already getting undermined by reviews done by parameters as such...

So Blue Bannisters is ambient music but if it was mixed with COTCC it could have reach NFR heights... Ye, how not! It's lovely to see the critics accepting their own charicature status!

Same happens to me. It's a quite dense project, so cant say I've fully digested it yet. Even given that, it's already passing me over as a truck. Damn, Lana...

Wouldnt be surprised if all the thing was just a marketing move. If it isn't, Lana truly has lost it...(I mean, imagine being one of the most influential figures in worldwide pop music and giving relevance to a bizarre, stupid rumour created by a teen about you. A rumour about you "being mean". Makes under zero sense if it isn't a marketing move -in the sense of getting her name of media the days prior to the album's release-).
