Just had my first listen because I stayed strong and ignored the leaks! It was blissful, in the dark in my room just appreciating it all. Initial thoughts - the 1-2-3 punch at the end of Heroin - Change - Get Free are the best Lana has ever been lyrically IMO. Heroin was the only snippet I didn't connect to that much and I now think it's my favourite song she might have ever done, so yeah. Cherry - Lana really salt bae'd the swears into that one wtf I also felt like that and White Mustang were too short but I'm greedy! In My Feelings is the sassy anthem we all needed. Before 13 Beaches kicked in I was just thinking about how Lana hasn't had lush strings in so long.......then it started and I teared up. BPBP and TNC are both examples of beautiful collabs, not that I didn't like LFL, SB and GL but they are just masterful. The gunshots in GBA had me like and World At War needs a few more listens, but yeah, Heroin is my jam for now, wow

I think it might be 'on/and This Side of Paradise' after the book by F Scott Fitzgerald, which would keep with the theme of literary references with Tropic of Cancer coming after it? It does sound a bit like a 'd' sound but I wonder if that's maybe just Lana's turn of phrase like she's saying 'dis side of paradise' more than pronouncing the 'th' sound. I'm sure she's done that before

The album version is better IMO, I really like the opening verse ('It's never too late to be who you wanna be' just hits me), and I think the white lines and black beaches section works much better as a bridge than as a first verse. But I do love the humming intro on the other version
