Does anyone else hear 'I'm writhing, I'm rising up' instead of 'I'm rising up, rising up' on Freak?

Not sure what's worse....seeing Ashlee Simpson lyrics on this thread, or actually knowing that they are Ashlee Simpson lyrics Also - not sure if anyone else has said this, but does anyone think that instead of 'I'm rising up, rising up', it's actually 'I'm writhing, I'm rising up'? That's what it sounds like to me after seeing the HD sampler...

I'm still convinced the line in Dangerous Girl is forlorn fire and not four alarm fire. But instead of 'forlorn on fire', it's just a different, Lana pronunciation, kinda like 'for-a-lorn fire'. Well I like it anyway!

You're right about the 's' sound, I had forgotten that somehow! But as pointed out above, 'Soaring high and from the fire' is ridiculously clunky, even for the occasionally grammatically challenged LDR Also the pronunciation and emphasis if it is indeed 'soaring' is way off, again even by LDR's admittedly low standards when it comes to that.

I agree about hearing 'iron from the fire' in terms of the metaphor - having many irons in the fire - her man is cheating on her with others, so she is rising up from the fire and no longer being one of his many irons in the fire. I definitely don't hear an 's' sound for soaring either?

LOVE the verse and the chorus and the music and everything! Can't wait for the full version now!

Very excited for this, as it's a way for something different that doesn't fit with the UV era - which I love, but different is always good too! As for Ariana Grande vs Mariah (not sure why those two are even being compared but whatever) - I pretty much hate them both in equal measure

I totally agree with that and I loved the song based on the snippet of the verse we got before the album was released. The chorus could have been so much better though, but all in all I still like the song - good third verse and ending too.

I wanted Brooklyn Baby/Money Power Glory/Old Money/Black Beauty/Florida Kilos but this will do I s'pose. Doubt it will do too well though but I don't care about that.

Loved the snippet, and the verses are great but the chorus is a bit meh. Not a bad song but my least favourite from the album.

'Witch hazel, witch hazel, betrayal, betrayal' I don't know why but something about those lyrics gives me chills. An enchanting and bewitching song, one of my favourites from the album (but that's quite a big club at the moment ) Definitely reminds me a bit of Everytime too, but it's much darker, I love it.

Loving the Twin Peaks vibe of this song! First the beat reminds me Audrey which is so perfect, and 'he's got the fire/and he walks with it' HAS to be a reference to Fire Walk With Me right?!

This is possibly my favourite ever song by her, and yes I may just be saying that because I'm excited but it is so perfect!!! This would also have been beautiful on the Gatsby soundtrack, the lyrics are just wow
