I really hope there's a surprise digital drop of more songs bc I was expecting more vault bops and we were not fed bops Editing to add: i like the vault songs, I just mean I was hoping they'd be more upbeat songs

I'm listening a second time, and I have to say, the parts I was disappointed about the first time aren't so terrible on second listen. Like somehow Style sounds better now Also, there is new 1989 merch added to her store but I don't really like any of it though I'm also not a Taylor merch person at all

And even if it's not a myth, it doesn't mean they were all good songs. the majority could be terrible for all we know

ok I'm done listening, I think the only re-recordings that are a bit disappointing were Welcome to New York, Style, Shake It Off, and Bad Blood. I Know Places sounds the most like the original to me I don't think any of the vault songs sound like 1989 except Stay Don't Go, but maybe they were kept off for a reason Also please note that I've only listened to every song once and in MQ so far

Wow I Know Places sounds just like the original, it might be the closest-sounding

Only up to How You Get the Girl but I really can't wait to hear these in HQ HYGTG is one of my least favs from the original, but I actually like the re-recorded version a lot more

Is it just me or does this new one sound more like she says "Starbucks lovers" than the original (and I never even misheard the original version, I was confused what everyone was talking about back then bc I always heard "list of ex-lovers")
