I legit cannot at her encouraging kids to skip class by paying for whatever they want to be doing instead.

Thank you. He was an ass. He said that girl bands are terrible. And after you posted that, I found the clip. I didn't search hard enough.

It's not your fault people reacted the way they did.

I only posted his comment because I thought it was funny....

This is hilarious whether you understood my reference or not

Anyway I agree with pretty much all you've said regarding BTR & Charli's shitty message to teens. Though you're not gonna get far with your opinion here sadly. I mean it IS a fun party song guys, but come on. It is a bit extremely ridiculous that Charli says she's making music geared towards 14 year olds and then releases a single about doing drugs and skipping school to go to the club. Like come on.

Edit: also someone on the last page said something about Charli & female empowerment?? Lmao there's no female empowerment in BTR what
(I'm on mobile so I can't go back and see who said it or exactly what context but i think it was in defense of BTR)

ALSO @ y'all saying 782anon keeps coming in here with negative shit when a member posted his YouTube comment & y'all started complaining about it like ??? He posted that elsewhere and you guys dragged it in here so stop acting like he keeps posting shit HERE to antagonize you when that is clearly not the case lol

Can we just hug it out tho this is tiring

If no one agreed with me, then I wouldn't have as many "likes" as I do. This forum is not evidence that most 18-22 year olds enjoy this song. This thread only has about a dozen active participants.

Then you have no reason to be offended. People should accept that I don't like everything she does. If anyone's opinions are being bashed, they're mine.

You act like the song is about going to the amusement park.

People have ruined a perfectly good word. It should now be banned from the English language. It is all too often used to stifle criticism even when it's deserved.
14 is all about being stupid. There is a reason why 14 year olds aren't even allowed to drive in the U.S.

As long as I wrap it up, butts and breasts won't kill me. The human body is natural and beautiful. It shouldn't be compared to toxins.

    You haven't been shot yet?

Have y'all read the comments section of the Break the Rules video? The consensus is that it's ridiculous for a 22 year old to be singing about not going to school. Obviously, this song is targeted at school-aged children. I'm also not the only one who is bothered by the message of this "party song" considering who it's directed at. I wouldn't think a party song by and for a 20 year olds would talk about not going to school. That's just stupid. Oh, and she's now being linked to the Illuminati. She has arrived.

Does anyone know Charli's cup size? A celebrity boob website says she's a b-cup, but that can't be possible. She has to at least be a C.

I'm noticing a theme in Charli's videos. She likes closeups of her ass. There are at least three closeups in Break the Rules. Too bad those shorts were kind of baggy. They should have done more closeups when she was standing on top of the bus because her ass was hanging out of that outfit. In Boom Clap and You (Ha Ha Ha), she had on spandex pants, and in Superlove, she had on a tight dress. Those closeups were awesome. She was in her underwear in What I Like, but she had no ass back then.

    I just watched to video.

Good: Charli needs a tan, but she looked hot. She definitely looked hotter than she did on Boom Clap with the puffy eyes and bloated face. The video doesn't look too cheap like almost all of her other videos.

Bad: I didn't like the video's concept. It got kind of stupid at the end. Charli has her mouth open 75% of the time just like in her Instagram photos. I'm sure she's caught many flies.

I still don't like the song. If I watch the video again, it'll be on mute.

It looks like Charli finally got a video budget.

He was nominated, and the award is based on people's votes. I guess a lot of tween girls voted. Sam Smith was by far the best nominee, but anyone would have been better than them.

I'm agnostic and have a bottle of whisky in my house, but it's probably going to sit there for years. I'm just a person who has seen too many people ruin their lives over something as unnecessary as drugs. It's a scientific fact that alcohol is a poison; it has nothing to do with religion. If people knew anything about how alcohol acts in the body, they would know it's a poison; but, they don't.

I think there is a difference between attracting young fans unintentionally while being a bad role model and intentionally attracting young fans while being a bad role model. Charli's target audience is teenage girls. The "getting high, getting wrecked" line is just more of Charli trying too hard to be a badass. I'm not convinced. I feel the same about Tinashe and "2 On" after seeing her old videos being a good girl and talking about how she dislikes alcohol. Now all of a sudden, she likes to get drunk and high at the same time.

As far as Charli trying to be "cool" or "punk," I am talking more than just about drug references. The whole drinking and getting high thing with Tinashe was just an example of another artist trying too hard to be "hard" or "edgy" kind of like Drake being a studio gangster rapper. I already knew that Charli liked to fry her brain and it seems to be affecting her song writing. Like I said, I like True Romance, so my opinion of her music has little to do with drug references. I mostly listen to hip hop. If I avoided songs with references to drugs and liquid poison (alcohol), I wouldn't have anything to listen to.

"Break the Rules" blows. I can't even imagine it being a radio hit, but mainstream music isn't at its best right now, so who knows. If she's going to be morally bankrupt promoting substance abuse over education to 14 year old girls, she could at least make the music sound good. I don't think I'll be buying this album. I'd rather listen to Avril Lavigne.

It is a poison in liquid form and a drug.
