  1. Did an unpitched edit from the Europop edit from SoundCloud in case anyone would like it here it is: Alone (Unpitched Remix)
  2. I usually don't take part on this type of discussions but I'm just going to leave this here... 1) Drill exists as a subgenre and lately it gained traction in the form of remixes from past hits (not defending it, just bringing it to the table) - so I get the appeal of making a song in that sound. More info here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drill_music. However, apparently the song's production doesn't belong to the genre, forgive my confusion. 2) I can't talk about others but in my case the matter is that I just don't vibe with the track as much as I did with previous releases, that's all. It has nothing to do with whether I do like or dislike the artists (and I definitely do dislike Dr. Luke but that's another topic). 3) The song is catchy because of the sample so that's a good thing. I hope it does well for her, she deserves a hit of her own. Hope this didn't come off rude cause that was not my intention at all! Oh and by the way I found this incredible edit, I actually think this is what I would've liked better from the track: Is it not? Oh gee now I clowned myself, sorry I just meant those remixes like one of a Paramore song that went *viral* not long ago but probably it was just mislabeled as a drill remix, whew what a mess. Sorry about that lol This is what the song's production reminded me of:
  3. ... no song on Clarity had drill though but everyone is free to like or dislike the song. I'm glad you like it, hopefully I grow to like it too!
  4. Love Sux really deserved a Side B or bigger deluxe. Joker, Eternally, C'est La Vie, Too Fast to Live, Hallelujah... sweeties I'm so sorry
  5. lolol you're right. To me it's not her I'm slandering, it's just the decreasing quality of her latest three singles. If she releases any of the Problématique songs (or something better) as a single next I'm back on the ship
  6. Okay now I just wanted to clarify I'm all here for the lyrics, but I don't like the melody and the production to be fair the demo is superior to me

    Carly Rae Jepsen

Here's Anything to Be with You!
  8. It's the way it never becomes the europop track that the chorus promises for me. It goes into a drill track that is very meh. The song is not even horrible as in Unholy, but it's the potential lost that hurts. I lowkey think that, if the whole song was an europop/electropop track with only the Nicki verse of that drill production, it would've worked much better. But let me tell you, I'd trade Nicki's verse with another of Kim's in a heartbeat. No hesitation.
  9. Buried in the trash can as it should be Hope Nymphology grows on me because I seem to be the only one that actively hates it but who knows Yeah I think FN was a great record but all the re-releases felt somewhat unnecessary. A solid 11-track Side B would've sufficed instead of the Moonlight edition and all the Fever-including re-releases, or the Club Future Nostalgia thingy which was Now that I remember, I forgot Fever which I love so much
  10. Dua Lipa - Future Nostalgia Future Nostalgia Don't Start Now Ball & Chain Physical Levitating That Kind of Woman Hallucinate Love Again Break My Heart If It Ain't Me (feat. Normani) Love Is Religion Don't Wait for Me Target/Japanese edition bonus tracks Who Do You Love Target/Japanese edition bonus tracks Firestarter Deluxe version bonus tracks Rich Deluxe version bonus tracks Act of God (feat. Ant Clemons) Deluxe version bonus tracks
  11. Buried in the trash can as it should be. I absolutely despise it the chorus is just plain bad and I wish any outtake would've replaced it. Though the Amulet Interlude is incredible, I can't believe Melanie attached it to the worst song in the album
  12. Melanie Martinez - PORTALS (considering the songs have no segues at all) Back from the Dead Void Tunnel Vision Færie Soirée (without the new intro) Garden Pluto Light Shower Battle of the Larynx The Contortionist Powder Amulet (Interlude) Sirens Evil Womb
  13. Glitter Boy

    Melanie Martinez

While I totally feel you I don't see the comparison between both albums, they're quite different and I'll admit I prefer Ocean by miles, but that doesn't imply I dislike Portals. Portals has some great moments (I've grown to love Void, The Contortionist, Evil, Tunnel Vision and the three bonus so much, and Death, Light Shower, Battle of the Larynx and Womb are also great) but overall it's not as strong to me, maybe because, from the way the album was being described and promoted, I was expecting some conceptual shit that ended up not completely happening. However I compliment her progress since K-12 and After School, at least sonically and sometimes lyrically the album was several steps into the right direction (not you, Moon Cycle and Nymphology) I need a full rock record Melanie, hoping MM4 is something like that and also that she throws away the character thingy and goes full personal for once. I'd love that so much.

    Melanie Martinez

The caption of that new post is ridiculously cringe Anyways, I listen to Portals regularly but I don't die for it. I definitely agree that it shouldn't have been marketed as still part of the Cry Baby story as there's nothing about Cry Baby in it. I love it being out of the Cry Baby storyline but she really shouldn't even have mentioned the character when promoting it. It should've been the album where Melanie is reborn, not Cry Baby. Ugh this already reads as a Class Fight rehash with the repetitions sorry y'all
  15. The disappointment is... real Scrapping Revelations, Hit It From the Back, Your Time to Cry, Born Again, Confession, Je T'adore for If Jesus Was a Rockstar? brrr? THIS? Hell no
  16. lol haven't checked on his music since self titled, and I want to listen to Wonder (aside from title track which I enjoy) plus I heard two newer songs the other day, It'll Be Okay and When You're Gone and they're... good? I wonder if there's another album on the way for this year. If those songs are any indicative of how a record would sound, I'm in
  17. 18. I think it was announced for April 21st so this Friday! Wait, if this is a sort of Moderation/Haunted House/Light of Love moment for the Dance Fever era (I don't think we'll get a bigger deluxe tbh), I hope we get two or three outtakes from the album released as standalone singles
  19. Bebe Rexha - Better Mistakes 10 Minutes First Time Trust Fall Money Don't Love Me Better Mistakes Baby, I'm Jealous (feat. Charli XCX

I was about to say it was giving Lana with BTD's 10th anniversary, but Charli at least did a q&a and there's the merch so Happy belated bday True Romance. I wasn't here when it was released back then but after I heard her whole discography it immediately became one of my favourite albums of hers, and arguably of all albums I've heard too. What a perfectly crafted record, iconic
  21. I'm all here for Dance Fever - The Mermaids Edition
  22. Okay so this works fantastic! I love the balance of the middle part because in the official version all the piano ballads are centred there and this flows great. The only song from the removed tracks that I miss is Sweet but I wouldn't know where to place it. Great job

    Melanie Martinez

She had to know there was a lot of good material that was left in the cutting floor
  24. The new album is a completely different record than Brightest Blue. The latter was pretty stripped down, but Higher Than Heaven is pretty much a dance pop and synth pop album and in my opinion most of the tracks are bops. Very fun record if you ask me. When I listened to it it was all fresh new to me too, I didn't hear the singles beforehand and it made me appreciate the record much more that way
  25. Ellie Goulding - Higher Than Heaven Midnight Dreams Cure for Love Like a Saviour Easy Lover (feat. Big Sean) Intuition Love Goes On Temptation Let It Die Tastes Like You Waiting for It Higher Than Heaven By the End of the Night Deluxe edition bonus track Just for You Deluxe edition bonus track How Long Deluxe edition bonus track ngl I don't see any song as a proper closer but title track could be a cute ending for the album I guess
