Along with those, All I Do Is Cry, Blow It All and Another One are great as well, but I usually skip the rest particularly Meet the Parents, that one is terrible

the way Extra Clutter could have been a whole Side B and she would still have material for one or two more albums from the same sessions... she really should have milked the era in a better way with some side releases (even as EPs) through 2016 and 2017 to put these excellent tracks out while working on K-12

Welp I didn't notice she was in the studio with someone related to ABBA I don't think that would be needed for her to sample an ABBA song (and anyways they typically don't allow their songs to be sampled) but if she is working with someone who has worked with ABBA... now that is something I'd like to see Hoping it's for the deluxe, I'm starting to fear it will never come

Yep, it's the mandatory skip. I never liked it and honestly the chorus is so rubbish lmao It was not my intention to bash the album just like that Portals is definitely a step in the right direction in all fronts since K-12/After School, but I honestly still feel a little hesitant about the project as a whole. Aside from so many intros and outros that sometimes do not add much to the tracks looking at you, Faerie Soirée and The Contortionist intros, and the vocal production in many songs, the album definitely has strong points and some career highlights imo (Tunnel Vision, The Contortionist, Evil, Pluto). I'm definitely happy we got the deluxe because in the end I love all three new songs and it was a nice addition - I can happily ditch skip Moon Cycle, Nymphology and Spider Web, keep the deluxe tracks and not fearing an extra short album. It's just it's taken me longer than other Melanie albums to fully enjoy even K-12, back in the day I bopped to most of that but now... I don't, but I have hopes that it will grow on me with time. And probably I still mourn for the loss of Needle & Thread, Fingers Crossed and the original Death, Garden and the original Void too. But that's on me because I was so avid for new material that I gave in to the leaks year and a half ago. Sorry for the essay

English is not my first language either but I can't unhear the lyrics now so they became skips I guess. Same with Nymphology. The rest are much better for me

Not Moon Cycle but yeah, I agree with the rest, mostly about the intros and outros - they would've been better for the film itself, probably the album without that many transitions would be more digestible.
