I mean, I understand she's independent and the budget is low but she also had a low budget for Savages and the 2016 singles and imo those were better videos. As per usual, I appreciate her effort into the costumes and ornaments, and it's great she puts a mv out (looking at you, Sky Ferreira) but I think this is a little... lazy? At least herself seems bored in the visual. She was marketing this as the Army of Love sequel, where is at least a reminiscent of that energy? Considering AOL is probably her best song ever, I think the bar was too high - or at least 21CK doesn't really live up to the hype she built. And the video is no different. But I'm glad it's out and I really hope it works for her. Ngl it gives me the same uninspired vibes as the song. Still rooting for her as an artist though - I'm saving my hopes for any potential follow up singles/album but for now is a no for me

    Melanie Martinez

no because TASTE! I actually enjoy those + High School Sweethearts, maybe Recess. although basically they're the ONLY songs I ever listen to from the album.

OMGGG? Oooh yeah I remember that she apparently had recorded enough material for another album so that could be possible. OMG queen is feeding us Amazing! It's fine if we only get 2-3 new songs. The Sunshine Kitty repackage was excessively long, I'd rather DF deluxe to only include new songs and no remixes/live/alt versions.

Ooooh so can we say a Dirt Femme deluxe is on the horizon? All here for it
  5. Happy for Kim winning the grammy. Song still sucks BUT hey! win win for her and Sam, happy for both Now if her label decides it's STILL not time for an album imma riot
  6. Carly Rae Jepsen - E•MO•TION (2015). Just for the sake of making a shorter album, because like 90% of the songs from the era are excellent. Run Away with Me I Really Like You Emotion Cut to the Feeling Gimmie Love First Time All That Your Type Higher LA Hallucinations Fever Cry Warm Blood Roses I love 'The One' but it doesn't fit with the list above
  7. She dropped the diamonds, that's what happened
  8. Okay so apparently the album's original mixes by Geoff Swan leaked. I'll listen to it until I get off work today, but if anybody has already checked them out, are they that different? (As in better mixed, like the early mixes we got upon album's release)
  9. and the title track either reworked/removed for the sake of it *not* being problématique
  10. So if Candy is just a collection of old songs that were thrown together but is not really in consideration for release... leak ha

I actually enjoy H&H but D&D was definitely an improvement. I'm really enjoying it, it's so fun and it's just bop after bop

Tbh the song has continuously gotten worse for me I am still curious for whatever she has in the vault for us, but this track will surely be a skip if it is in the album. If there's an album. Pre-chorus is pretty bland in my opinion (in terms of songwriting, not the message per se. She's shown she can do better.)
  21. ~ It's water under the bridge, why can't you get over it ~
  22. while I absolutely love the selection you did, I also would've added Wild at Heart. but this is a very well condensed list of the best from both albums + a good sequence between them!
  23. lolol you're right, it's only two. Pour Sugar on Me by Def Leppard (very evidently throughout the chorus) and the initial chords are sampled from the bassline in a song titled The Joker by Steve Miller Band. i thought they were more because the samples combined are very much the base of the track, but it's only those two.
