  1. Oh yeah a repress is always plausible (They did one in Argentina like... 2 years ago?), it's just that it looks like a flop anniversary thing. No point in teasing it for a year if we're not getting any new content with it (which is "the issue" since they'd need to produce new plates, "remaster" these outtakes/different songs, etc.) If the original release was a single disc, they could do it like Allie X and just press a second disc with all the songs. And if there's not enough songs, they could fill the rest with the acoustic versions etc, but I'm just a big skeptical they'll spend any extra money.
  2. They do get a (great?) cut of profits, but I'm a Little Ferrari and I see Labels as organizations from hell that are here to trap the artists! Just kidding... sort of. Marina hinted before that her relationship with label wasn't really 100% and being able to "leave them, not going back" probably stings the suit men a little, so I'm just not very confident they'll be helpful celebrating her catalog. At least she kind of does have a strong fanbase appeal, but the costs of these things (especially if they're planning something beyond a vinyl repress, like new songs being add-ed) will always shake the table. I also believe there's a little aggravation that both The Family Jewels and Electra Heart were able to penetrate the public consciousness with the TikTok trends in a way that Froot still hasn't... aka they were more commercially viable to market since they were fresh into people's mind. So maybe it's time to make I'm Not Hungry Anymore viral so we can get a nice treat!
  3. When You Take Away Control being a real song and not a random Forget demo... I got the last laugh. WHEN YOU TAKE AWAY CONTROL TRUTHERS, RISE! I'm pretty sure the song is kind of shit or just rough like Savior but ok. I have no idea if something is really happening but mainly because;;;; label. She might have been interested, but I'm not sure everybody will be like "sure luv you left us after your contract expired but we'll help you celebrate your beloved third album <3". Platinum Blonde literally came 1 month before she announced she was going independent as well nn. Does anyone have a Merna Masterpost? Kinda craving some demos & outtakes right now.
  4. Gorgeous album tbh. It lives beyond the hype and "lore" of music that sounds like grail because stans can't actually touch or albums that were scrapped by record labels and that kind of thing. The world building, the lyrics, the goal achieved, everything is on point. I constantly think about that quote of Lana meeting Kahne and asking if he could make it sound "like a sad party" and the way it fits perfectly. And I have no idea of what she thinks of it now, but I'd say Kahne brought some of the most interesting productions while keeping it traditional and straightforward. Marmaid Motel? Gramma? These songs are next level, uniquely "Lizzy Grant" and no one can touch them. I wonder what she wanted to change when the album sat in label hell for one whole year, but the final product is still pretty much bulletproof and perfectly aligned.
  5. About the whole secret project; all signs were pointing towards a real "Unreleased Collection", no? The "Yes To Heaven" release, random songs being taken down after years, new registrations... Interscope probably thought it was some quick cash and Lana went "why not?" before realizing it would take some extra effort. I don't see her touching AKA, like, ever. Deep down, I don't think she's invested in it as much as the fans, probably enjoy a few songs and hold them very close to her heart (Pawn Shop Blues) but doesn't really fuck with it as a full collection, at least not how it was released back then. Over the years, she did mention some unreleased songs that were special to her (Disco, Hollywood, Roses Bloom For You, etc.) so I imagine it would make sense for her to pick these songs and compile them instead of putting out a full body of work that she wanted to change before it was released 15 years ago. The idea of Pawn Shop Blues and other AKA songs being thrown together with songs like Yes To Heaven, Queen Of Disaster and whatever they're planning... shivers (derogatory) but it is what it is.
  6. I was about to say "If that music video was already filmed I think it's happening" but then Don't Forget.............. yeah we're getting nothing.
  7. Leash is out of the Oscar shortlist for Original Song.
  8. omg we're about to get the reboot sequel we deserve
  9. (not to mention, y'know... the Oscar campaign. These studios won't spend money asking for an original song just because it's cute to have a brand new Sky Ferreira song when they could be just licensing an old song. There's also a very short timeline now until the awards, so they'll be going 100% to make sure they can stand a chance. Sky herself probably signed contracts with "girl you WILL be doing these interviews")
  10. Pussy (Cola Demo) Zodiac (HQ) Millionaire Fine China (whatever version) This is really mostly about random snippets we got through the years and then nothing. I can't remember some other very old titles that haven't leaked yet at this point.
  11. Ok but let's cut to what really matters @111 thoughts on Leash?
  12. I have no clue of how that ended in my post but I bet it's Capitol
  13. Leash... wow the Best Original Song that you are.Insert image from URL
  14. After I did this post, I also realized she teased this right after... the song anniversary, not necessarily the album..........and I can imagine maybe she'll hold until later 2025 to celebrate the album itself, even if it will be the song 11th by then. So, maybe yeah, there's hope? We did get the "Platinum Blonde" edition of Electra Heart, and even if there were no additional songs that we didn't have before, at least she "tidied up" things nicely. She did mention more Froot songs being "unfinished" for that repackage edit, so we'll see. I'm really optimistic about the new album, but I find it hard she'd go full-in without any singles before the album because she seems to enjoy the "long road" type of roll out with world building and so on.
  15. Wait, she did confirm there are/were plans for FROOT's birthday next year, right? And that would be in... March. Or April if she wanted to keep it cute and pretend there was no move up because of the leak. But yeah if there's new music coming in January/February there's no way that's happening. I think she'll probably follow the same rollout from L+F and get the lead single out in February with the album coming in April along with the Coachella performance
  16. I feel a slight Lust For Life tea where the album isn't 100% finished and she'll be tweaking it until last minute, that's the only reason I can imagine it being announced... 6 months ahead? That's crazy timing. She never gave us such big window release as far as I remember, at least not without any music already running.
  17. Jesus it's such a fugly cover lmfao, but at this point I just don't have big expectations when it comes to Album Covers. HOPEFULLY we'll get at least one beautiful professional music video for the lead single to make up for it. Or the second
  18. Did she ever confirm owing the Master? Because paying for the Mix and Master it doesn't mean she owns the Masters. She also said a lot of shit like "bankrupted label lol" joke and how she wanted Bubblegum Bitch to be a single and they kept saying no, so "beneficial to her" is probably her cute way of saying "they were the ones with $$$ lol" in 2010. She'd probably Re-sign if they were a bed of roses. But in the end, yes, like I said, she explicitly mentioned being unhappy with the song so... too much work for little return.
  19. I'm pretty sure the I'm Not Hungry Anymore debacle is label politics and now that she's out of the label the chances are close to 00000,01% of happening. She probably gets torn because she explicitly said she was unhappy with the production (I'm not even sure if we got the fucking final song since the ramblings were that stans got stems and made their own version of it??) but saw the reaction was positive by fans; she performed it on Piano during Love + Fear Tour which also indicates she stripped down the whole thing, but also knows that fans wouldn't like to have a version that isn't the original so.... She probably reads so much shit that she probably gets happy to have some leverage with I'm Not Hungry Anymore lmao.

It's also been compared to Heavy Metal Lover and Scheisse.... I'm ready. I guess it's more of it being heavy synth distorted after all. Just a few more hours.

When people sign these contracts, they usually give "ownership" of older (independent) material as well. I'm not sure if it counts or not, but I do remember her mentioning the idea of releasing a project just so she could be free of them and move forward, do whatever it is, hope it works!

I haven't listened to anything she performed live or leaked, but any chance that this is the "pop project" that she was mentioning earlier (?) this year as stop-gate to finish her Prescription Songs/Luke connection? Whatever it is, it will be good, even if not connected to the storyline. She already mentioned that work on Preacher's Wife hasn't really begun, so I don't see it happening before 2026/27 at the earliest. But I do find it surprising that B-sides aren't/weren't ready and she's still saying they'll be happening because at this point it looks a bit... pointless? idk, I don't like that word, but it feels a bit late; releasing another project and then moving back to the "starting point" instead of just moving forward to the next album. We shall see.
  23. The rest of the was silent. omg lead single confirmed open the thread!! - Every time I see this thread on the main page I start sweating.
  24. I think it is called "Leash" but yeah we need confirmation. I guess it's the closest we'll get of any release.............
