  1. Sorry but the quality is not much better... it’s scientifically studied that a digital track has a better quality than an analogic track (vinyl, cassette, etc...)

There are some controversies over this subject.

Digital files can be better if they're like "WAV" "FLAC" and formats that aren't compressed like MP3. These "WAV" "FLAC" aka lossless files make everything sound "deeper" and clearer, that's also why they're heavier.

Vinyl pressing also made it's way into a more contemporany technology, and the files pressed on the discs are usually lossless direct from studio with a special mastering\mixing process to make sure everything's better and more balanced.

But the truth after all is that if you don't own good equipament (Headphones for digital or a nice record-player) it's just all the same shit nnn.

I love vinyls for the aesthetic and all, but my player is a really simple one so I can't really say "Ohhh so much better" but still.

  2. I love blue and hate green and particularly lime green as much as Satan hates God but I clenched my teeth and ordered the green one because I have a nasty feeling that it's the colour Lana validated and not the blue one

Honestly the way Blue was SUCH a random choice with the cover but well... "Baby Blue" "Color Blue (WILD ONE)" "Blue Jeans" "You turn my mood from black to blue" "Pawn Shop Blues" "Tired Of Singing the Blues" "Out of the black into the blue" "Blue ribbons on Ice" "To red blue yellow skies" "I like the ivy and ink blue" .....

and some others, I really wouldn't find it surprising that Blue was Lana's choice nn.

I'm not a huge fan of green but I think it really matches perfectly with the album cover and her windbreaker. (+Ultraviolence Urban's exclusive was already translucid blue I believe so it's nice to have variants)

  3. Forgot how these trailers are always fucking amazing and better than the music videos at all

Hopefully we'll have the double video + Happiness Is a Butterfly

Also, since Rich Lee is confirmed, maybe not only the Double Video but the original BAR video can show up too?

I mean yeah she used the footage but she also frankeinsteined Ultraviolence into Freak+Music To Watch Boys To with these pool scenes so....

  4. i hope this is true bc the cover without these logos will be much better

I've seem cases like Sky Ferreira's Nigh Time My Time where they had stickers to cover her nipple (rip) on the cover.

Ultraviolence tracklist was censored back then without "FUCKED" in FMWUTTT.

It all depends on how they'll style it for packing I guess. The cover without any tag doesn't sound really plausible because... there's something about having the name of the artist so people can recognize it when they're casual\locals. But a sticker would be nice for everybody who complained but also for the people who enjoyed it.

  5. Nice point was made about the album title with "FUCKING" would probably be odd to sell.

Could be a nice thing if the titles were actually stickers on the physical edition of the album.

INB4 there will be no physical edition apart limited vinyl run from her website and places like UO that will ship everything by summer 2020.

Also curious about how long til she starts teasing "THE NEXT ONE" since this was meant to be out on top of the year and sis is probably like mixing LDR7 by now.

  6. There was a gay with his phone flashing "SIMON SAYS" infront of me on her gig last month while I tried to make "Can't Stop Now" happen.

Also no one mentioned but she said there will be new music while opening for Charli\Marina upcoming tours

  7. I was a big-time believer that Happiness Is A Butterfly would explode into a psychedelic dream, but now that we know it's right before Hope, I guess it will stay as a piano ballad. HOWEVER, there are still chances it's Venice Bitch-ed, and then Hope serves as a real closing track, kind of like the credits song of a film.

Maybe HIAB could be the real epic closer like Old Money and Hope will be the credits like The Other Woman YES.

  8. guys this is literally the first era i experience (idk what word to use) and i know nothing, does preorder mean just preorder on apple music or she'll start selling music and merch on her online store? also could someone tell what the approximate price for the limited (colored) vinyl or boxset will be on her website? i mean, what was it in case of previous albums? + i'm wondering about international shipping costs

Pre-Order means you'll be able to pre-save the album on stream and also order the physical versions of the album\bundles.

Colored Vinyl and Boxset depends on what they'll be doing for it.

Honeymoon Boxset was just the album + lito prints and a physical booklet formated as a book I believe.

Ultraviolence on the other hand had a picture disc or something along 4 lito prints and the album

Vinyl will be probably around 25\30 dollars as "usual" unless there's something special going on. Other retailers like Urban Outfitters probably will have variants with different cover\color so it's cool to take a look around once everything is announced (and I wouldn't worry of things selling out so fast, small tip)

  9. I was talking about on here specifically, and haven't come across more than 3 posts saying they want Lana dressed in white in front of a vehicle. This is probably the very first album cover I dislike tho

there are more than 3 posts, trust me.

I understand people who disliked the whole composition, I find it very strong\not "easy" to look at. The colors and the whole "collage" are really different and there's a lot of information going on, but I think that it's not "UGLY" like people been screaming. It's more of "getting used" to it (and Hopefully it will match the sound. That's what I'm really looking forward so far. I believe all of her covers just match the songs so... faithfully)

  10. No one is mad she's not in front of a car wearing white.

Sis I'm reading the pages. And Twitter.

There are awkward gays out there thinking this is some type of tradition or anything. Like yes it was cute and I find it actually funny she's in a boat.

Everybody always fucking hate every cover so I'm really not surprised. It's been the same thing since Honeymoon.  "Oh she looks stupid" "Oh she looks ugly" "Oh the guy on the cover" "Oh she's so small in the cover" "Oh that's an odd smile" "Oh what is she wearing infront of this truck??"

this has been part of every album campaign by now lmao.

  11. I don't get most of the complaining... at all.

For the whole "wow no car" "she's not wearing white"

I always saw Lust For Life as a full circle moment that closed something that started with Born To Die (She's also not wearing white or infront or any car in that beautiful-mess-airbrushed Paradise edition cover). Even "Get Free" sounded like she was trying to close a chapter in her whole life.

Norman Fucking Rockwell seems like the first step of something brand new. Out of the black, into the blue. Sis literally in the middle of the ocean while California is on fire behind her NNNN

I guess the whole composition might not work for some people tho and that's ok, that's valid. Just awkward to be mad she's not "INFRONT OF ANY CAR" or this type of stuff.

I, personally, love the aesthetic. It's a giant hybrid of Comic-Style, Real painting (background) and photography.

  12. I agree that L+F is a failed concept, I just don't see how this album/mixtape can be compared to die Life? Did she mention she was gonna do something along the lines of die Life?

I mean what concept is she recycling from dL?

Oh it's about the last page, take a look. The whole german pronoum thing and some of the few pieces we had from dL is that it had some type of "feminist" approach (and stans are already connecting dots and so).

But after hearing her mention about "demo album" I wouldn't find it surprising.

  13. what has die Life to do with it?

Rescuing a concept you half-used on your second album (before fully scrapping it) right after your fourth album being the most bland piece you've ever done where you just said "Well I did all the songs and then split in 2 parts called LOVE+FEAR because... you know... *generic explanation using psychology gimmicks* doesn't sound like a good thing, but well who knows.

  14. If the whole die Life thing was real, right after the whole mess concept of "LOVE+FEAR"... I would be worried she is creatively dead.

But people like ToveLo and Banks for sure would bring a lot of new flavors.

  15. Doin' Time is an upbeat commercial song that's part of a soundtrack. It would make no sense to include in a slow, moody, and sad album produced exclusively by Jack.

DT is like Young And Beautiful, it wasn't part of an album either. It was part of a soundtrack.

The joke is that Young and Beautiful was done to be part of "Paradise Edition" and was released right after the album came out, no there was no way they could fit it, yeah.

They could fit the song as a "bonus track" especially cuz it "doesn't fit all the other songs" all along, but yet people know and like the song, so nothing wrong to tack it in the end.

This is still business after all.

    16. Video Games (Joy Orbison Remix) [bonus Track] is a proof that it could happen easily.

  16. "Doin' Time won't be on the record" gives me "COACHELLA WAS JUST RELEASED AS A GIFT FOR THE FANS"

The song is picking up on radio, it's been her "biggest song" in a long time with Airplay and probably doing good with streaming... I wouldn't be surprised if it shows up as

    14. Doin Time (Bonus Track)

Is the song released in any album so far or just part of the movie thing? Because if it's not glued anywhere, they can put it on album to help sales\streams...

  17. My only issue is that it doesn't depends on Lana about when the album is coming out. Interscope (and Polydor ?) does.

If things were so right I'd expect an announcement already. Wouldn't be surprise if it's label schedule that isn't finding space\time to put the record out.

I believe Honeymoon was the fastest Announcement-Release, we had with something like 1 or 2 months between her words and the date? And we got High By The Beach in the meantime. (+Music To Watch Boys To and the title track???)

If everything's correct, tomorrow marks 1 month til the official release. Maybe it will be it then. Otherwise... unsure.

the fact she teased a Music Video on social media but haven't mentioned the damn record... I hate her I just hate her. If she's spilling things during her shows WHY CAN'T YOU TWEET ABOUT IT SIS??

  18. I swear to god you already waited 1 year for this fucking record does it really matter if it's August 30th or September 6\13\20\27th? Rip.

Of course the earlier the better but also better late than never. Lana also mentioned wrong release dates before (Ultraviolence May) and made a lot of things up, she haven't announced anything properly but at least we know that things are wrapping up now. The records seems to be done and social media work is being done right now with Digital links and Webstore reform.

At this point I just want an album cover that doesn't look faceapped and tracklist featuring 13 songs at least. and they aren't 11 piano ballads+ Venice Bitch + MAC
