I'm just sure the "MOVIE" is the main point of the whole thing and the music isn't (and wasn't) the priority while doing this new project. Def. feels like she's way more inclined into the audiovisual than audio only. And that would be okay if the songs are at least... good.

Cuz otherwise it will be such a mistep to release a "bad album" that was just done to go along with THE MOVIE (and this is what I've been feeling with these snippets so far.)

All I've played the last 274 hours was... STROKE

The distorted bass + vocals, that motherfucking CHANGE on the Bridge where the song just goes into a total hyper-80s-bass-direct-from-sewer...whew girls.

The bad side I guess is that the whole distortion trick starts to get a bit boring after Stroke.

Godless was incredible for 3 minutes and suddenly I just got tired of it.

Haven't really been into the second half of the album so far but I know that Alaska is a bop and every now and then my mind goes JIMMY JIMMY JIMMY.

Listening right now and I'm enjoying way more than I expected to so far (I'm on Godless but yeah nnn)

and she just went on twitter to tweet something like "Kanye West is a genius!!!"

then she was dragged and went like "fuck sorry I spent the whole day in studio and didn't know what was happening on the world sorry"

She's been open most of the time about the S1 situation. I believe she kept doing new songs + mixing\mastering\reworking the older ones to fit a new vibe (this is why I believe "Ghost (rework)") and she's probably funding everything from her own pocket there's no way she can rush everything.

I believe there will be some new songs tonight and the mixtape will drop somewhere between June\August. 

Mine + Daddy AF both had a distribution deal around them, maybe she's also shopping her songs trying to get someone to release her stuff and get some audience with it (she mentioned wanting to be signed for S2).

Ugh she's just great. Wishing her the best and an amazing night for the show tonight.

I think it might sound mean but every album cycle Marina just throw a fit. For real. It's always "Oh It's so great I'm so proud it's my best album to date It's so special." 3 years later "Jesus it was hell I was tired of feeling like shit the tour almost killed me now this is the real me relaxed and happy".

Like it's almost clear that the problem is the way she had expectations that weren't fulfilled yet she'll pretend she doesn't care and post random quotes on her twitter about not caring of what people are saying WHILE FEELING BOTHERED.

leaving twitter and "Marina HQ" ok She's not the first and probably won't be the last artist to have a team to manage your social media. Create a fake account and make it your personal page, whatever.

It feels like she really "lost it" about social media in general. I mean she's the same woman who:

and basically created Tumblr. And used to own Blogs before (and AFTER) she was famous. She really used to get the power of internet and, for me, it was one of the main reasons how she established a BIG fan base between Electra Heart + Froot (this + the power of visuals but that's subject for another talk).

Everyone who's been at the show mention that everything works pretty good live. Wish I could see this next year but Marina seems to be like "is it done yet?" so lel.

I like the dancers and choreo thing. Sounds like a breathe of fresh air into her old show dynamics.

I'm just here waiting til it finally leaks and the main difference is a uglier vocal take and no voocoder but the beat being almost the same with minor changes.

Also I think the Karma snippets (at least the ones I heard) aren't really from a demo? she mentioned the song being redone and the snippets sounded pretty much the same from the final (the guitar break on the chorus etc).

Nothing much at all but there's a title track for the record that didn't make the cut.

I'm stuck between wishing we could go back 3 months ago talking about EH X FROOT X TFJ or relieved that L+F couldn't top her best album to keep these discussions going nn

But for real, even thought a little letdown, at least "FEAR" feels great. It has some "depth" that's not part of "LOVE" or whatever.

Now if the demos leak... well that would be cool. It feels like Marina wants the whole thing to be done already so lol.

Listened to "FEAR"

It doest sound way more interesting than Love. Production and lyric wise. Still no Marina & The Diamonds  good, but I found it better than most of the LOVE songs.
