The way the abbreviation of DYKTTATUOB is even longer than Lasso

What I really love about pre release eras as well are all the artist recommendations and I definitely have to look in the "post country music" thread later. I love to discover new music, new artists and get deeper into genres and educate myself on them and that's also one of the many reasons what I love about Lana tapping into different genres (and I love that she does her own spin of them too obviously) and what artists inspired her. I might not enjoy always everything I hear but going on a musical journey is always nice and if you discover artists and songs you love it's like a double win

That's why they call me yeehawnita

Tbh I am getting more and more excited for the album

Omg Would love to hear those drum beats and a fiddle on the new album Also her speech was so sweet

If I'm being honest I don't want Take Me Home Country Roads to be on the album. It had its moment and it would be weird that we got it randomly more than 9 months before the album without any word from Lana about its release. And we already heard it so yeah I'd rather have more unheard stuff

She said things are going to get crazy for a long time so now we wait and see what happens, I think she definetly has a few things planned and it sounds very promising

Ocean Boulevard era it is so sad to see that you are coming to an end You were gorgeous, beautiful, iconic from the Hola TV announcement till the very end One of her best eras in a long time You better sweep the Grammys next week miss Ocean Boulevard Still having this album on repeat and it really became my favorite Lana album along with Honeymoon

But tbh I am still debating if I like the title "Lasso " or not but it's great to finally have an one word title back it's been 9 years

So I am late to the party as usual. Read the news this morning but I was late for university and couldn't let the news settle in But just read this entire thread help anyways still can't believe we are in a goddamn pre release era like huh what To be honest I am not over the moon of her going country but I am still a bit excited for it. Songs like Nectar, IFYLDWM giving me country vibes and I love them, tbh I like BUS instrumental and I NEED a whole ass song that sounds like the Dance Till We Die Bridge, I am manifesting that hard bc it would a perfect opportunity now for a song like this To be fair a new Lana album is always exciting and I am curious to hear her version of country plus I love the Henry snippet. So not much to be worried about Maybe I am delusional but I think that all the songs are done basically and they doing final touches right now and polishing it. And tbh it's crazy to me that she is working on it for 4 years now but somehow it is not surprising when you think about that

So it seems like Lana is working on this album for the last few months when she is in Nashville. Ultraviolence also got produced in Nashville (partly at least or "reworked" if I remember correctly). I take this is as a sign that we get another major career highlight Also she used alot of e-guitar on UV in 2014, then we got some e-guitar on a few NFR songs in 2019 (e-guitar being more prominent than on HM & LFL). That makes 5 years between those two albums . 2019 + 5 is 2024. So by that we must get a few e-guitar heavy songs on this album too So the album better comes out this year Anyways do with these theories what you want I just wanted to procrastinate so I have a longer break from studying today but I do think they are kinda delusional interesting

Oh she is coming to deliver, to slay and to snatch our wigs

My guess is that she gonna sweep at the Grammys with Ocean Blvd album and then we probably getting news about Henry /LDR 10 shortly after the Grammys, that would also be a great momentum to end DYKTTATUOB era and start a new one

Lust For Life - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll
Pico Ocean Boulevard replied to Elle's topic in Post-Release Threads
Recently I feel myself gravitating back to this album more and more after I kinda paid dust to it in the last year(s). It was such an amazing time witnessing the LFL era in 2017 and the album came at the right time for me before everything really went downhill a year later..anyways LFL still was very important to me during that time and especially Get Free became incredible important to me. Change also was a song that always and still is important to me and very close to my heart. I am not sure what happened that I paid the album dust, especially in the past year. I think last year I wanted to feel happy again and fell in love with life so bad that I kinda wanted to force it and deep down I knew that something was off and that I wasn't happy, that I felt stuck but however I came to terms with that and dealt with it etc. and I can say that I feel so much more at peace now and so much better and it feels much more natural. My point is that I am at similiar point as I was in 2017 mentally, even a bit better and more mature and now that I don't force things it is funny to me that LFL naturally becomes more important to me again. It motivates me to change in positive ways and reminds me were to head to, what my lust for life is but that it's sometimes enough to remind yourself that it is enough to be who you are. And I agree with the person that said that the more "political songs" are generous enough that they still are kinda relatable. I know that I focused on the more lighthearted side but LFL is such a multifaceted album, the way life is when you think about that and that there is so so so much more to the album than I've said but that's also an aspect that I love as well about Lust For Life. The album really is complex in some way when you think about and I can understand both sides, that one doesn't like the album much or that it can be one's fave but imo LFL doesn't deserve the hate it got and I think in some way it's one of Lanas most overlooked albums. Heroin-Change-Get Free is still her best closing trio to me with her best closer (along with Hope) and that track run definetly has a special place in my heart Anyways I hope this all makes sense somehow, just had alot of thoughts in my mind
