I’m not gonna lie, I actually do think there might be some truth to this. We know that Lana likes to have the next record started before finishing the one she’s working on so maybe this is the studio sessions where she’s figuring out the next album. (I also think this might be the case with Jack’s involvement a couple months ago, too)

Happy 8th birthday, Ultraviolence I have such a strong connection to this album. I remember sitting in my dorm room freshman year on West Coast’s release day and severely overplaying the song. My best friend and I literally drove all around town blasting it. Then, there was sitting at my aunt’s house by the pool when Shades of Cool came out, and it became my absolute favorite song. I remember her singing title track live, so when it officially came out I already knew all the words. I had a bf I was obsessed with and I remember being at his house when Brooklyn Baby came out. I also remember sitting in my parent’s car when the snippets first leaked and being absolutely obsessed. It was such a heavy, dark record and I was absolutely obsessed. I can’t believe it’s been as long as it has, time really does have a way of flying by

Rock Candy Sweet is Loved You Then And Now. Rock Candy sweet is a lyric, like watercolor eyes. (At least that’s what insiders said forever ago) if it’s a mix of TJF and IYLDWM, I absolutely want it. Those are two of my favorite songs from each album. I don’t get that vibe for LDR9 though, so maybe we’ll get LYTAN for LDR10

i agree 100000 percent. Her breathy vocals were cute on FIILY and WD but the fact that almost every new song features breathy vocals needs to stop. I want Buddy/GKIT in the church vocals. She also needs to stop being afraid to do more than one vocal take. I get that her imperfect vocals were on purpose on BB but I hope she’s past that even though raw voice memo vocals with reverb slapped on doesn’t sound promising.

the one lyric we have so far “ When I look back tracing fingertips over plastic bags I think I wish I could extrapolate some small intention or maybe get your attention for a minute or two” doesn’t seem loud, playful, or necessarily exciting I really think this album is going to double down on the diarist songwriting approach that she’s been using lately. That said, I really don’t see the songs being like TB, BB, or WW in a ‘telling my story’ sense, either. She said she’s angry, and I think she’s going to touch more on that.

I would really love a snippet. I know I always complained about them during NFR, but I’m so curious about the sound, and if music is coming soon, I’d love a little preview of it

did Lana even announce this album though? I know Nikki talked about it at a show over a year ago, but I can’t remember if Lana actually talked about it or not. I don’t know why everyone is hating, Lana music is Lana music even if Nikki is also involved. BUS is one of my favorite songs off COTCC and I’d love a full album in the same vein (but maybe with Nikki’s producers and not Jack)

Im trying super hard to not be negative about “wordy” “conversational” “Raw voice memo with reverb” and trying to keep an open mind. I wasn’t a huge fan of the direction of Blue Banisters, and I was hoping she was going a different direction, but so far it sounds like she’s really doubling down. I am super curious about what she’s angry about. Is it still the culture? Her karmic lineage?

This whole situation is just so unusual, because when Ben usually post about music coming “soon“ it’s after Lana’s already announced something. In W magazine the title was still unknown and we got one lyric, but when she posted about it on Instagram she didn’t say anything about the music. So Ben saying it’s coming soon out of the blue without Lana saying anything about it is so weird

Im 100% in the boat of I’m glad insiders aren’t saying anything. The three singles would have been a super awesome surprise release but the surprise was spoiled. BOZ got snippy on twitter a couple weeks ago when asked about Lana info (he said something like “I can’t pull info out of thin air”) so I really think insiders don’t know anything. Which either means her team has finally kept things under wraps, or Ben is talking out his ass when he says music incoming and soon

this really fits with her Instagram captions during the W magazine shoot, and some of the themes touched in the interview I can’t wait for BCH to be announced soon!

pretty sure that was about rock Candy sweet, because days later she told a fan she was working on two albums, and when she talked about BB she used the dragon emoji

last month she started talking about the new album and now Ben has commented twice within a day that the album is incoming and coming soon, while there isn’t a rollout yet, the gears are definitely being shifted

I think this is the first time ever we’ve been told an album was both incoming, and coming soon, without an album title or even a single/single title. This is turning out to be such a unique era/rollout and I’m super excited to see how this all plays out!

I’m absolutely convinced we’re getting an album this year and I’m convinced it’s coming sooner than later. There is absolutely no other reason for Ben to do this, the fans weren’t even going crazy about when new music was coming

i don’t claim any of this energy Lead single in June or July on a Monday/Wednesday with an announcement of the album coming that Friday

Everyone wants a June-July single but I’m absolutely manifesting a June-July digital album with physicals up for preorder

i really think it is sooner than we think because there’s no reason he needed to say that when he just said last month there was new music in the works.

he said soon on July 4th when she Instagram posted the BB album cover. but he also said the Chemtrails video was coming soon in September, and it was 4 months away so usually soon is 2-4 months but he didn’t say soon he said incoming edit: he also said new music was coming soon when she posted the TJF snippet I’m august and we got LMLYLAW two months later

I feel like Lana casually talking about the album and Ben saying “new music in the works” is a lot different then Ben saying “new music incoming” like yes, it’s not new info that she’s working on new music, but it’s new info that it’s incoming

July 4th is a Monday and we know how she likes her Monday releases

I really can’t believe we got two albums last year and we’re already here getting excited about new music incoming lana really knows how to deliver for her fans

So do we think we’re getting a surprise, digital drop?? insiders seem to know nothing about this album so i feel like it’s the perfect time to surprise release
