I don’t understand how Cinnamon Girl and Tulsa Jesus Freak made it to different records when they’re the most ‘bombastic’ of the albums. I don’t know how I feel about the bombastic songs. The one (possibly real, possibly fake) snippet we got of Loved you then and now I guess was more ‘bombastic’ ..the production did seem a little amped up. But I don’t know how likely Lana would be to release a third album of songs created in 2018/2019. But at the same time, if she is reusing old songs maybe the next album will be out sooner than we think? idk I have so many thoughts about all this

COTCC for me is the better Lana album of 2021. I’ll never forget that cold Monday in January when I was rushing to get home from work and listening to title track for the first time. It still gives me chills. WD-COCC-TJF is the best 1-2-3 punch. WAH/NAWWAL/DBJAG are all career highlights. Yosemite proves LFL was her at her peak, BUS is a missed soundscape (I love the smokey bar feel of the song) and Dance Till We Die’s bridge still hits so so hard! i know she killed the Chemtrails era basically the day after it came out by announcing RCS, but it deserved so much more

i mean even if it has “nothing to do with the new album” it could still be a poem, or the cover album, or any of the other projects she’s working on. There’s no reason for them to hype it up as much as they did if it doesn’t mean something this reminds me of when she posted the “Blue Banisters” selfie after posing about RCS and we had no idea what was going on
