I’m so glad she’s confirmed February twice now and the single with MGK has to be the next single, which should be good at getting her a little buzz, it’s disappointing (but not surprising) that Bite Me didn’t take off more. Also, according to ATRL, the album is also called Bite Me and on the cover she’s wearing a dress and holding black balloons

Not sure how unpopular this is, but I don’t like the last quarter of BB. The leaked songs being completely unchanged really drag the album down for me. I know the argument can be made it’s my own fault for listening to the leaks, but Thunder got a new arrangement and the three leaked songs could have had so many little things done to them to help them fit in the album.

I want Lana to revisit her old old unreleased songs (Boarding school, Hollywood’s dead, Prom Song Gone Wrong, BBM Baby, Wolf) because I think the story telling is very playful…but then again I don’t, because the artist she was then and the artist she is now are two completely different people and the songs would feel completely out of place (Unless her album of 25 favorite leaked songs happens, but I think those would be more YouTube rip than re-recordings tbh) Say Yes To Heaven and Fine China I think are the most likely to be released someday since they’ve been on her mind for almost every album she’s worked on since writing them, and I’d love for her to finally be able to release the version she feels is best

“the albums done who knows when it’ll be out” Lana in March of 19 about Norman she said on the live that “mark her words” the next project she releases would be digital only. I still think that’s about the cover album though, because she announced it as a digital gift for us last year. I’m not overly worried about insiders ruining the surprise release because ever since COTCC, information seems to be harder and harder to get. (Nobody had even heard BBS until it leaked and when she gave us the BB cover art BOZ was still saying the album title was changed) so whatever her team is doing, it’s working. It also shouldn’t be that long for vinyl, she finished BB around the beginning of July and we got the album mid October, which is the usual 3 and a half month wait it usually is

I don’t think it was unfinished, she’s just really bad at expressing herself. We know she took a ‘social media break’ in January, right before COTCC title track to compile the book (meaning it had to be in the final stage then) When she mentioned the book on the live, I didn’t take it as “it’s not finished” even though a lot of members here did I don’t think Lana is gonna wait until 2023 to release the next album, especially since she already has songs for the album and is solely focusing on writing

I want Jack to stay far away from a next project. It’d be such a step back after BB was a step in the right direction I really think they were together for Behind The Iron Gates, it was supposed to come out in March of this year, so it has to be in the final steps

she did say she had a couple songs “she really likes” and she isn’t touring to focus on her writing

The praise on this thread I’ve missed this Avril so much! The 45 min interview she did today was so good too! she said yesterday on Instagram the video was premiering today but I have a feeling that was a lie In her interview she said “top of the year” she doesn’t even have a date for it yet

Happiness Is A Butterfly is 3 great songs mixed terribly into one. Idk what could be changed about it but the verses, pre chorus, and chorus are so distinctly different and don’t go together at all. Maybe she could have made them two interludes or something

I’ll never forget how much I absolutely hated this album, but then one day in 2017 I was picking up my (now ex) bf and he lived about an hour away from me and I put this album on randomly and fell absolutely in love.. I know a lot of fans don’t like the album, but to me it feels so Lana. There’s an interview she did during the time of making the record and she said she wanted it to feel nostalgic and she succeeded perfectly

also ‘Lithium’ while referring to the drug, could also be a reference to the Nirvana song..not sure if you classify Nirvana as classic rock though

I kinda feel like the leaked songs she was originally going to put on BB are going to be on the next album..the only reason we got the songs we did on BB is because she talked to Barrie and put their songs on the album instead. That said, I really don’t want anymore leaked songs on albums unless she pulls a Thunder and reworks them
