tbh I wouldn’t even be mad if lasso was 10. We just got 16 a year ago, and I feel like shorter albums are more cohesive! Some albums overstay their welcome but 10 tracks is a nice number and has almost 0 chance of having filler

I don’t love not getting a single, but with only 10 tracks I guess that’s for the best. At least it isn’t a super long wait like some girlies cough cough Lana, Taylor cough

idk I dislike jack a lot less than I used to (some of my favorite songs are Jack songs, and I like COTCC more than most) but his production is a bit lackluster and samey. I can immediately tell when a song is a jack song, and it didn’t bug me when it was a handful of songs at a time, but lately all the girlies are using him for almost every album track and it’s getting repetitive. perosnally I don’t credit Ocean to Jack, because he had a full team working with him. Only one song on tunnel is a strictly jack song (Kintsugi). He works really well with other producers, so I’m hoping most of Lasso is Jack and Luke. Maybe a couple with Zach and Drew too.

Personally I want a Billie colab because Lana has talked about wanting to work with Billie for years, and just mentioned wanting to work with Finneas a month or so ago. plus, it’ll be nice to hear Lana with a new producer since Lasso is going to be 95% Jack

yeah I’ve been saying since NFR I don’t want snippets, but admittedly I do miss them a bit! I think LFL was the perfect amount, and that’s why I think even her reposting the Henry come on snippet with her doing makeup or something (white mustang style) would go SO far in building a bit of hype

I’d love if she debuted a song Ultraviolence style, but I worry she’d debut it, and then we wouldn’t hear it until June or July I remember having uv memorized by the time the single came out and I think the wait was like a week to two

sounds perfect to me tbh maybe an announcement of an announcement at Coachella just to keep spirits up, I think asking for a new single is doing to much since Coachella is days away atp and we’re clearly not getting our cute festival single

I agree. SOTB was a decent song, but I want a song that doesn't sound like a textbook Lana/Taylor mix. Like it doesn't fit Midnights soncially or thematically at all. I'd want a song that was made for the album it's appearing on. The gag when Lana gets Taylor on Lasso and makes her use Debut/Fearless level twang.

Personally I don’t think the colab would have to be country, she recorded a song with Quavo and I feel like there’s a 5% chance of it being a country song tbh idc who the artist is, I’d take a colab with anyone. Best case scenario we get a good new song, worst case scenario we get a not super great song than some fans will still love. Seems like a win win to me

I mean she’s had a lot of collaborations lately so I think I could even guess she’ll have one more before September

If she doesn’t open with some variation of “I was at Coachella” I’ll be disappointed tbh. It doesn’t have to be the song, just that line, or she can remix the song (she’s done tour versions/remixes of Diet Mountain Dew, Flipside, summertime sadness)
