I know that she’s famous for having writing camps/a whole team, but this definitely feels very authentic and full of soul OT: Beyoncé’s cover and caption is everything I want from Lana/Lasso, and now I’m curious how Lana is going to present Lasso (assuming she even does and she doesn’t just post the album covers with one line of caption)

The problem isn’t Trump vs Biden, the problem is the politicians who are mostly 60 or older who have been in office for nearly 40 years. We need term limits, age limits, and people to be involved in more than the presidential elections. There are elections every year determining important local decisions (mayor, school board, local council) that get next to no coverage. Did I misspeak when I said the Trump years weren’t as bad as it was painted to be? Maybe slightly. But for this whole country’s existence unless you’re a straight white male this country hasn’t always been a very welcoming place. Most of the big issue topics (family separation, children in cages) are STILL HAPPENING. But since we’re blue, the media attention has dropped, and we hear nothing about it. life wasn’t ideal before Trump, during Trump, or post Trump. Just focusing in on 2017-2020 and saying that is the stain on the country is very near sided and ignores both our country’s past and where we’re at now.

the problem is, it doesn’t matter who’s president. The administration behind the scenes all get along and do whatever they want. The branches of government are going to basically run the same regardless of who is president. Neither Trump nor Biden really do/did anything other than be a figurehead (and just barely, Biden can barely form a complete sentence and Trump is just as bad) Trump’s presidency wasn’t a shock because after the 8 years of Obama the racists who were always here were riled up and had someone feeding into it. The Trump years really stripped back all sense of decency we thought existed here in America. That is more of a culture issue than a Trump issue though, these people were always here in America they just were more silent. I remember in 2008 a conservative Facebook page posted a ‘meme’ about how we needed to lynch the president, so seeing all of these people show their true face didn’t shock me. Truthfully, life under Trump wasn’t as bad as it’s painted to be. Life post Trump has been worse because people are getting more and more nasty, and Trump’s Supreme Court picks are really starting to pluck away at rights.
