Some of the vocals are really reminiscent of Summertime the Gershwin version. I wish she’d fully explore this sound/vocal style. She nails it perfectly! still don’t overly love the super long outro, but it’s whatever

yeah that was my initial reaction, I also don’t trust twitter insiders unless someone more reliable can vouch for them. Like I said, their ‘proof I’m an insider’ is Blue Skies, since we’ve known about that for months now

tbh I don’t trust it. them using ‘new song coming’ and then using Blue Skies (a song we’ve known is coming for a month now) doesn’t scream INSIDER to me. that said, quickly scrolling through their feed it seems they may have some kind of connection we need @hotshot2am to confirm (I lied, we knew about blue skies since November)

she’s still working on it though, it’s not even done. And it takes months for vinyls to finish. Even if it was done and submitted today, it takes around 6 months for her vinyls to finish so the earliest it could come is July

Guys that user had the right time frame they probably just put the wrong month either way they was wrong though because MAC/VB came out 11 months before the album Tbh I don’t want the first single from this until June/July. I hate unnecessary long pre-releases. Especially if she’s still working in it and might be changing the genre

The only thing about her “working on the next era when one is done” is the twitter insider said the album wasn’t done yet, and we don’t know how much she has left to do to ‘finish’ lasso. Realistically if she’s aiming for September it has to be done soon so it can be submitted for vinyls

I’m just confused because the twitter insider said there was no colabs on Lasso, unless this was a newly added thing (which is very possible because that user also said the album wasn’t done yet). I was wrong it was no covers not no colabs tbh ever since LFL, her albums have been a mixed bag of sounds (with COTCC being the most ‘cohesive’) so I’m not shocked Lasso is shaping up to be the same way. That said, if she’s adding a Quavo song to the album, I can’t imagine the name Lasso is going to stick

no but really. Complains it doesn’t go viral (which it did!! Three songs went hella viral on TikTok and Jimmy was super viral the week it came out) but then also doesn’t do any real promo except for a couple magazines
