this will always be one of my all time favorite live moments. Her mic was ON and rent was DUE in a studio aspect I’ve always thought her 2013/2014 vocals were next level. She was still playing with her persona/vocals and a lot of songs from that era reflect that. Getting Lie Down With Me is what really made me realize that

I hate how half of these magazines and those flop voters are giving Taylor the win just because it’s Taylor I’m a swiftie right after I’m a lipster but nothing on Midnights deserves to win over Lana. hopefully a majority of the voters have half a brain cell and don’t vote for Taylor just because it’s Taylor, she’s won enough and will survive without sweeping yet again, it’s Lana’s turn damn it

statistically the first song she teases from a project isn’t a single it’s more likely we’ll get title track or a different album track

for me personally I have a lot of minor nitpicks with the album that I don’t have with her other albums. Most of them mirror what you already said, I don’t like the name dropping on title track, Sweet Caroline is cute but it’s clearly a song for her sister (which I can’t relate to), and the three songs being LQ YouTube rips really strike out the polish the album has. I absolutely get what she was going for on this album, but most of the lyrics are just too personal for me to throw myself into them. on top of that I hate hate hate her vocal production this album. There are so many songs (blue banisters, BBS, WFWF) that you can tell she did one take and called it a day. and another thing is the writing, which again is more personal than an actual complaint, but for me Beautiful is a lyric low point for me, and VfR is cute, and it was one of my favorites when the album came out, but now when I listen to it, it just doesn’t click for me. Same thing with Arcadia, it’s cute enough but the lyrics are way too personal for me to relate to Dealer feels like a demo and I have no idea why she included it. Not sure how a demo from 2017 is part of telling her story for me, the only two songs I really go back to from this album are IYLDWM and Thunder. like I said, it’s all completely subjective and there is no such thing as a ‘good’ or ‘bad’ album because it’s all about personal taste, but for me this album gave me next to nothing, and truthfully I was on the brink of handing in my Stan card until she reeled me back in with Ocean Blvd

I really do think it’ll be this year for sure! When she announced Chemtrails, that was in May, and she never felt fully confident in the album..plus she couldn’t work on the album with Jack because of covid so circumstances were different. I do think September is her goal post, but she still has to finish the album, get in line for physicals, and have the physicals pressed, and then it depends on her label and when they want to release it..stuff like that takes time, and she’s a horrible judge of how long things take to be done

I really wish she wouldn’t have said September. Tbh I don’t believe her at all. I do think it’ll be this year (probably) but it’ll more than likely be an October/November album. Tunnel was perfect. Announced in December with a lead single and pre order for 3 months away. Now we’ve regressed. No album cover, no single, no preorder. Just Lana announcing an album based on vibes

Oh absolutely. But I consider the ‘rollout’ starting in September when we got VB/MAC since that’s when we got the album title and some details about the album

soon?? It’s 7 months away at this rate it’s only going to be 3 months less than the NFR rollout

we already knew she did this! in November when she posted the video thanking the Grammys she mentioned that she sang a couple songs online for everyone. I think usually the artist perform live (she sang how to disappear in October of 2019 at the Grammy museum) but probably because of scheduling conflicts you can perform online, too!
