It’s just so weird how casually she announced this. Like in W magazine in 2022 she briefly talked about tunnel but wouldn’t give up the name or anything. Now we have a name, release month, and an idea of the genre. I do wish she would have held off on announcing the release month. “I’m working on a new project I’m really excited about called Lasso” would have been more than enough, knowing we have to wait at least 7 months is really gonna drag the year out I fear. Hopefully she keeps it interesting and does droplets until then

I personally am really excited about this! I’ve been manifesting country for years now, and it looks like she has, too!! That said, I’m really annoyed that the release date is 7 months away, that makes me feel like it’s not as set in stone as ocean was when she announced it

I think the LDR x NL album is coming tbh. They did that photoshoot and then they told the photographer to take the pictures down because they weren’t ready for it to be released yet. I know that has to be something music related

Fingertips top 5 on an album that includes: A&W, Peppers, Taco Truck, Sweet, Let The Light In, Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, Paris Texas, and Fishtail?? sorry but it’s a beautiful song, but it should have been a stand alone. I’ll always stand by that

The difference between now and past eras is how long physicals take to make.. LFL physicals didn’t have to come week one, so she could submit the album and then release it pretty quickly while vinyls took a few months. NFR vinyls only took around 90 days to completely finish pressing, but even one song that was ‘done’ has a different production because the album was submitted and then FIILY was still being worked on since covid, vinyls take 6 months to press, that’s why she was finished with Tunnel in September but it didn’t come out until March, and even then it ended up getting delayed a couple weeks even if she submitted the album today, we’re looking at September at the absolute earliest, which personally for me is fine. I want her to take her time and be proud of the songs she’s made, and I still think we have more surprises coming!

I wonder if she’s on her way now to see Jack..she didn’t say when she was seeing him, it could be today

I still don’t think we’ll get the album until 2025 I think she’ll so do droplets (the sound track with Jack, maybe another unreleased, a song with Nikki Lane) but full album I don’t see coming this year
