  1. i know lana is queen of not promoting anything but she usually mentions something beforehand damn
  2. cinnamon girl samples radio and fuck it i love you samples lucky ones.. she running out of ideas or what?
  3. omg i just got my vinyl i havent read the last few pages but has anyone else gotten theirs?
  4. even tho lust for life is shit and the amount of songs is part of the reason its so bad lana spoiled us too much with it nfr has a 10 minute long song but for some reason this album feels so short i've listened to it all the way thru a few times and by the time i get to hope it feels like no time has passed i think maybe because we've heard so much of it but idek
  5. all of lana's title tracks start with really beautiful strings excluding lfl but we dont talk about her
  6. oh lord, again, a fucking gain, nothing new nothing changed, same old shit same old fucking shit
  7. alright lana should just produce her next album on her own she can play the guitar with acrylics on she's a woman of many talents
  8. i wish lana would do an album with mark ronson, i know they did some songs for honeymoon that were scrapped but she could have her back to black moment
  9. rick nowels over here producing lust for synthesizers and kept the fame backing vocals on TNBAR so what the hell we gonna do now
  10. kerosene in my hands all the pills this is how to disappear
  11. i saw some other people say a lot of the songs sound like demos and i agree, i do like the album but i thought this ever since mariner's was released, the production just sounds so unfinished and not very prominent almost like you'd think after making us wait so long they'd make sure everything is up to par i actually love HTD but one of my biggest issues with it is that her vocals sound really weak and she cuts off and her voice cracks a lot then the production gets really messy and ends up overpowering her voice towards the end happiness is a butterfly too like it feels like they added those interludes in at the very last minute because they couldn't come up with verses
  12. i agree, tho i do think the sound and themes are sorta the same too, paradise and nfr are both very piano and string heavy with themes of sex, drugs, fame and freedom
  13. yall keep saying this is the next uv but honestly it's more like paradise than anything
  14. i miss dylan, his reviews on lana's music were so good and he really paid attention to the lyrics and appreciated the little things in her songs that not very many people notice
  15. have those weird background noises in HIADT always been there i can hear like sniffing and someone taking a drink of water or something
  16. HORRENDOUS lmfao they just got rid of the drums why are y'all so pressed you can still go listen to the other version leave it alone
  17. kinda feel like happiness is a butterfly could've ended the album i think the album tells a cohesive story about the highest and lowest points in a relationship and how much you can change for a person but still loving them no matter what and throughout most of the tracks she sings about partying, dancing, fame and wanting [barrie] her lover to come back to her she's been trying to catch happiness and get back together with this guy, all she wants to do in the end is dance with him
  18. i feel like during the process of making the album maybe they felt like it was getting too repetitive with so many piano tracks so they decided to change HTD to give the album more variety
  19. imagine thinking the quality of an album goes down because "girl" was added to a song title
  20. i can't believe it's almost been 2 years since we heard happiness is a butterfly for the first time
