Not really? Lana's known to be making albums all the time. She makes new ones when old ones have barely been released. Marina on the other hand has stated oftentimes how she's dissatisfied* with her career, has been straightforward how fragile her mental health is, how difficult it is to perform certain actions, how she gets tired from touring, how she gets tired from using social media, how difficult it is for her to be criticised by critics/fans, et cetera, et cetera. Anyway let's hope it's not about it at all. * she considered TFJ to be a failure from a commercial perspective, then she had to scrap Die Life and was pushed to blend all the ideas into one album only (Electra Heart) even though she wanted to make it a separate project, EH didn't make her a popstar either even though she aimed for it, then she made FROOT and was happy about it but it got leaked and her whole idea of Froot of the Month was ruined and then someone in her family had health problems and she had to tour, and then she had problems with her pseudonym, and then L+F happened and she said it was her best while everyone hated it and you know the story Stream the single 'cus it's amazing!! I prefer Man's World though, the sound was so sweet when I first heard it, also the line "don't wanna live in a man's world anymore" sooo relatable to me I would listen to it over and over.

I was thinking about it. It's either about Jack or music industry and the whole social presence. At this time I don't know if I should be excited about the album or devastated because she's ending her career. But I really hope it isn't going to happen. No one expects her to actually work on something all the time like Lana Del Rey does, but saying goodbye forever is really tragic. Also, she said lately how she enjoyed writing music again and stuff like that, and how she loved being under the MARINA name, feeling freer etc. I really don't know what to think of it all.

They basically changed Last Dance to Someone Else's Baby and then to Baby. Also Free Sex was changed to Sex Yeah, When You Take Away Control to Forget and Pamplemousse to Froot

IMHO the closest track to Purge the Poison is Sinful. Definitely that was the direction of the second album before it was slightly changed to the depressing electronic vibe and later scrapped in favour of Electra Heart.

There's absolutely no proof except for Marina not following her on IG. And people saying how she unfollowed her after the question for culture have no proof either -- some say she had cleared her following list way before she posted that.

Well yes, but Lana, unlike Florence and Marina, is an American artist? Anyway yeah, I remember how Marina complained how she failed to enter the American market with The Family Jewels that was quite successful in Western Europe and she said it was indeed all her label's fault (also the fact TFJ in the US was released a few months later???), but I don't know if the same could have been said about Electra Heart and FROOT. Electra Heart never made Marina a popstar she dreamed of being, even despite its commercial sound, and was slashed by critics, unfortunately. What a mess.

Marina could have never been as famous as Katy Perry, but definitely some advancements could've been made to get her closer to the mainstream level of Florence + the Machine and Lana. I wonder if it's label fault.

Holiday would compliment Baby, Orange Trees and Karma 'tropical' vibe very well. I really wish she released a separate EP with these tracks.

I really don't think the selfie is an album cover, but it's most definitely a single. Ben et al. no longer care about singles actually, she releases whatever she wants however she wants it seems. It's always been the albums that were successful in her portfolio.

i wish marina hadn't worked with dr. luke at all, what an amazing album we'd get. sure, she wouldn't get so much popularity without primadonna and how to bath, but nowels's bubblegum bitch and homewrecker or kurstin's power & control are still sickening without him, and there'd be more money for the project. who knows, maybe more videos etc., and critics wouldn't slam her so much? no one knows...

I used to hate 'Gold' so much, I really did, but after those 5 years I realised how much she needed as an artist to make this song and after a few listens in right circumstances it grew on me, it's quite relaxing even.
