Tove part is really good, but the remix production is so bad, it ruined the original sound. Her team, WTF. It's way worse than the Muna and Blossom remixes that I am able to enjoy.

I find it hilarious how people want Marina to make an album full of love ballads and want more of what's on the second half of Ancient Dreams but that's almost exactly what they got on Love + Fear; soft to be strong, believe in love, end of the earth, too afraid, emotional machine who? Most Diamonds don't let this album grow on them I fear. Please Don't Call me could've been added to FEAR though, it fits.

Why not though? Most of the tracks there are either about or inspired by or even created by Jack himself and now we got Ancient Dreams whose half is about him too. L+F partially feels more like a collaboration project between Marina and Clean Bandit honestly, but that's what happens when u give so much of urself to another person when you're in (toxic) love. It would make little sense if the album got erased completely from her discography or seen as "the-should-have-not-happened" type of album especially seeing that she's such a personal lyricist. Now we can just wait for another album that has nothing of him.

Cure For Me is a bop! Not necessarily in her style but very nice to listen to something fresh & catchy from her.

Exactly. As good as the album is, I still wish she made it mostly about the sociopolitics and welcomed female collaborations just as she promised to tell the whole story. This feels like two different EPs wrapped in one rather weak conceptually album. Also the way she ditched the project now, lol?

We can assume Marina got distant from Lana but still, as I said, it is unknown when and why exactly that happened. I myself had a theory that she was hanging out with Lana just because she was so unsure of her career and music industry after the hiatus, so she wanted to feel more inspired or something and please her fans a bit. However, it makes little sense because 1) she met Florence and FKA twigs with Lana, so it indicates their conversations were mostly about music and business (especially that "DIY" caption), but at the same time 2) she met Lana's family, so it indicates they were really close friends. I mean, Lana certainly didn't invite Ariana, The Weeknd, A$AP Rocky or whoever else to meet her family, let alone have her father wish them happy birthday. It is just a sad realisation of today's society that you have to follow someone on socials in order to be considered their friend by the public.

I would like to believe you but there still is no actual proof. I don't even think Marina is the kind of a person to unfollow Lana just for her one controversial IG post instead of talking it out with her, but maybe I am wrong. Still, Lana does follow Marina even though Ariana and Lana unfollowed each other after the question for culture thing. Also, Marina did not follow Lana on Twitter because she unfollowed everyone around the 10th of May 2019 when toxic stans were bullying her and she changed her description to "run by Marina HQ team". She didn't follow anyone later, you guys can check that on webarchive.

I LOVE Scab & Plaster, my favourite unreleased from hers ever, but decided not to include it there because it is a personal song and doesn't touch the love theme as much as Jealousy does. Same with Miss Y that is just The Outsider 2.0. Hoping for them both to be included on her demos album or something. Besides, 20 tracks is probably too many already. I just wanted to start a discussion though.

Lies beats are too dubstep-like lol... Also the lyrical content is way simpler (than Starring Role) because as far as I know she had to write a lyric for the already existing instrumental. Acoustic version is sublime though. Anyway, R.I.P. her original concept of 15 music videos and Homewrecker a single release. It amazes me how she knew we were all dissatisfied with L+F and she came with L+F acoustic with 3 new music videos and even Electra Heart merch revival, and now we're mostly happy with Ancient Dreams so we're probably getting nothing.
