    Lady Gaga

I don't see comparisons to her old sound, but more to how “cool” the old Gaga was, and Abracadabra definitely has that vibe. There's no way you'll hear anything like Abracadara's verses and bridge in her old material, it's fresh and new for Gaga.
  2. Just before they announce BRAT as AOTY I hope!
  3. This is hands down the best Grammys in the last like 5-10 years
  4. They knew who was perched for Gaga's performance
  5. The reason she announced the album was actually to get tickets to sell faster, even though it wasn't needed. Now we're stuck with this Info for months.
  6. Lana has started following @/pinknews on IG. One of the biggest outlets about LGBTQ+ news.

Is the album title made up of one word or more ? Is it still coming out in February?
  12. I've always wanted Lana to do a shoegaze album. Come on Lana, branch out after this cute little acoustic record.
  13. Austrian Albums Chart this week: #9 (+14) Lana Del Rey - Born To Die *highest placement since 2012* A timeless classic
  14. Born To Die is also at #62! (but should've been higher)
  15. Rolling Stone: The 250 Greatest Albums of the 21st Century So Far 15. Lana Del Rey, ‘Norman Fucking Rockwell!’ Norman Fucking Rockwell! introduced the world to a new Lana Del Rey. With her sixth album, Del Rey departed from the orchestral, dark-pop sounds and toxic love-idealizing lyrics of the records that made her a cult favorite. Instead, the star opted for introspective storytelling (“And if this is it/I had a ball”) and a nuanced look at the American dream, spinning Rockwell’s art perspective on its head. The album’s flowy, experimental sounds also introduced her synergistic partnership with Jack Antonoff, which continues to thrive today. Among its many stunning qualities, the album has Seventies tinges, a Sublime cover, and the iconic line “Goddamn, man-child/You fucked me so good that I almost said ’I love you.’” —T.M. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-lists/best-albums-21st-century-1235177256/
  16. I bet Lana is back in the studio to create another culture-defining masterpiece like The Greatest.
  17. This should be discussed more tbh. They don't post anything random, so I think they're doing the design for Lana, which is exciting
  18. The thought that TRPWS will only/mainly feature acoustic guitar makes me a little upset. The fact we'll probably never hear something like this from her again... And I'm not even talking about the genre, but about the vibe and how many different and unique instruments she combined together.
  19. I'm wondering if the label is a part of why Lana's album is still unfinished. No insiders know exactly what songs will end up on the record and all they've heard have been very slow and acoustic. The label might not have liked such a mellow sound and so they gave her a time window to add (or replace) some songs. This happened already and more than once in Lana's case: High By The Beach was written under pressure from the label to make at least one "commercial" song, the whole NFR! was delayed until Lana recorded some "hit" songs (Doin Time, FIILY). Lana is much more successful now than she was in 2015-2019 and I'm sure the label's expectations have changed on her. Whereas in 2021 they "accepted" her declining popularity and let her release anything, now they want to make an album strategy and capitalize on it a lot.
  20. Anyway, Lana will continue to thrive this year, with millions of daily streams and a sold-out UK tour including two concerts at Wembley. The Right Person Will Stay will outshine a lot of pretentious alt girls, too.
