  1. i agree,,,, buttttt i feel like chemtrails was slightly more put together and she chose a more cohesive tracklist in my opinion. that being said, the amount of old ass songs on both records makes me giggle every time i think about it
  2. i do too! and i don’t dislike blue banisters at all. it just feels more like a compilation than an album where cotcc is very cohesive to the point where on my first few listens a lot of the songs kinda blended together, but it’s one of those albums that sounds better on repeated listens for sure. but i feel like DYK… is gonna be nothing like any other ldr album to be perfectly honest. in spirit, im getting ultraviolence vibes (not the UV sound necessarily but i feel like it will be chaotic but cohesive overall).
  3. NEED a cotcc title track level song on here. that song slowly grew on me SO much with repeated listens and remains one of my favs from her. that album may not be my absolute favorite in terms of her whole discography, but i really do love the different sound she went for.
  4. okay so actually with the updated interview i now retract my statements about it being short and boring! she actually opened up a lot on what the themes of the album are and i couldn’t be more excited.
  5. wasnt expecting much from this interview or photoshoot but lmao i was rly not a fan of either i fear the makeup is slaying and the hair is beautiful but these outfits just really don’t go with the looks. also the photos in general were just not my fav. i guess i should have known that the interview was gonna be short but im disappointed by that too it’s okay though cause at least we got interview mag which is her best photoshoot since flaunt in 2017 and also tunnel coming soon which i just know will make it all worth it in the end
  6. something tells me this album will be very nostalgic- and not just in a “typical” lana sense where it touches on 20th century 1920-1980s references, but im really hoping for some 90s-00s nostalgia with this record. but that might just be my own bias of feeling very nostalgic for my own childhood at the moment lol
  7. the way i just read the entire thread because of this… thank u to every one who contributed to this amazing thread
  8. just read every post in this thread… feeling like i may need therapy cause despite being on here since 2019 i def missed a lot of this
  9. are u sure this isn’t a leak cause its REALLY good!!! - as an aspiring writer myself this is fr so inspired and creative.
  10. im begging that we stop dragging other artists down to try and lift lana up. she is friends with both of them and while yes they’ve taken inspo from her, it’s cause they like her music, not out of malice or bc they think “copying” her sound will make them money or help them chart.
  11. also i think this is the most i’ve ever related to a lana song, and i fear it will be the most i’ve ever related to a lana album, as well.
  12. the first half is very tori amos vibes (which i predicted ) and the second half is kinda nine inch nails kinda portishead, but honestly, its very lana. i can’t really compare it to anything else i’ve ever heard. its like a musical collage of so many different things and i just love it.
  13. a&w joining venice bitch, ride, off to the races, the greatest, heroin, the blackest day, white dress, west coast, and shades of cool as one of her best songs
  14. flaunt, interview ‘23, dazed ‘17, and clash by neil are my top 4
  15. i feel like lana and jack are the perfect pair. NFR is my fav album from her and they produced some of her most groundbreaking songs ever together.
