every single one of her songs that are longer than 5:30 are some of her best. cruel world, shades of cool, brooklyn baby, honeymoon, the blackest day, heroin, get free, VENICE BITCH, TNBAR (i know this isn’t everyone’s favorite but i like it a lot), white dress… all classics in my opinion and the fact that A&W will be her second longest song since Venice makes me so excited.

i give it 1-3 weeks before she releases another single or the mv for the title track. my money is on either candy necklace (honestly my most anticipated track) or the grants as the next single; not A&W. we all know she likes to release track 1 as a pre-release single most of the time (BTD, Ride, Honeymoon, Love, Text Book) but also there’s Cruel World, NFR!, and White Dress so who knows if she wants The Grants to be a single or not. in my opinion, Sweet or Peppers may also be contenders. A&W might be but i just feel like that’s too obvious (which is strange considering theres really no basis for our delusions on that one 😭) personally, i really want candy necklace though. it’s definitely my favorite track title and the snippet is just heavenly, but A&W is my second favorite title here so who knows. either way, i’m really excited to hear all 16 new songs

for me, i feel like often she’s released albums that i needed for specific moments in my life years before id know i needed them. hopefully this isn’t too personal but last year i went through a hard breakup in the summertime, while i was with my friends on a trip to the beach. he broke up with me over text; he had been home from his trip to mexico for about a week but never once since returning had he made an effort to see me despite before his trip seeing me almost every day. i gathered that the breakup was imminent but had no real idea it would happen that way. norman and violet really helped me through that time in my life. and specifically, the song blue banisters and its strong theme of female friendship through the grieving of a romantic relationship. this upcoming album for me is different for a lot of reasons, because i think im finally in a space where i feel me and lana are in similar positions mentally: trying to heal and be happy without letting yourself be walked on or giving in to complacency either. hope that answers your question without being too long of an answer! <3

guys please don’t feed the trolls. 😭 anyways i feel like the flower of this era is violets, similar to vbbotg. idk, i just feel a connection between the two projects. also the vehicle is either a taco truck or a 1970 triumph stag, similar to the one sean connery drove in the 007 film, diamonds are forever, which is also the most LDR title of a James Bond film, along with being a song im dying for her to cover at some point.

ok so this is gonna sound a little off topic at first but i promise i’ll circle back around to the album. it connects, i swear. i remember every single lana album release since honeymoon. hell, i even remember where i was when i heard each individual ldr song since then. that was 7-8 years ago. i remember lana being my escape for when my mental health was in shambles (which was constantly, to be honest). but recently, i’ve really been putting in the work to help myself and my mental health to surprisingly successful results. and for the first time in a while, i feel genuinely content and happy. that’s why im so so excited for this new album from lana. it feels like for the first time i’ll be listening to one of her albums as if i were meeting an old friend, rather than escaping my mind. i feel like she’s been with me since i was a kid, and it’s just so damn exciting to be getting this new album at such a good time in my life (mentally, at least). i know that things may feel rough right now for any given person, but i want to offer my love and support for anyone who might not be feeling the best. we’ve all been there at one point or another, and i know you’re probably sick of hearing this, but it DOES get better. i promise. it just takes a lot of time, work, and sometimes just a sliver of hope. i love you guys, and im so excited to experience this record with you guys next month. much love, (and sorry for the extra long and extra corny post), yassgrenade. <3
