Venice bitch breaking a sweat being a beacon for this album for so long. Honeymoon is my favorite but Venice has been on repeat for almost as long as BTD was here.

two very different situations. the label asked her to make a catchier song so she made high by the beach thinking of it in the context of the album. it ABSOLUTELY fits with the sound, theme and concept of honeymoon. doin time, on the other hand, was probably added last minute bc it was a hit and in some way it fit that certain part of the album (a little more catchy tracks, venice - fuck it - doin time - cinnamon)

Totally understand, I think I meant more in the way that Hbtb was some serious radio kibble in design whereas the rest of Honeymoon seemed more personal that didn't scream radio (I protect the hell out of that album,personal favorite)

 

I'd have to hear Doin Time in context of the album, and I love it, but I am that jerk who thinks Season of the Witch is better,however I wouldn't say it belongs on NFR

This is a stress, not having heard any new snippets but being all the way updated on you guys haha. First off without listening if I have to go to bat for Love Song, I will. Did the same for White Mustang, poor baby ripped apart. 2nd, BAR always sounded wordy to me even in the demo, and I haven't listened to it in ages so hopefully it shines the same as it did.

Hi everyone! Nervous as heck to comment now as I know knives are out and times are dark, but I've been following this forum since page 162 and what a journey! (I skipped like 200 pages back around the 1400s, rip those convos) Anyways just wanted to weigh in like a broken record and say shame it leaked, even in lq. I thought part of the reason no one thought it would leak is because Jack was a steel trap??

 

I'm sad this forum won't be here much longer, I think you are all hilarious. Also, haven't listened to any of the new snips at all, but I think California and Love Song will be the absolute gems here. Carry on and thanks for being you.
