No one chooses a song theme? Nevermind I started this. I just wanted to start some fun for everyone to participate.

Our previews post of the classic blaxpoitation film "DOLEMITE - 1975" has been removed from Youtube. So we will present to you an even better film ! ( in the same genre ) Willie Dynamite (1974) The classic American blaxploitation film directed by Gilbert Moses. The eponymous Willie Dynamite is a pimp in New York City, who strives to be number one in the city. As he is trying to do so, a social worker named Cora, is trying to change his ways - as well as those of the women who work for him - for the better.

That is what I am trying to do. Get EVERYONE into the groove of things, get people to play a cool game. Someone chooses a "Song Theme" and for one week , we will ALL post songs based on that theme. We could start on a Friday and it will last until the following friday. That way members who are here on weekends can also post their music. Many years ago the singer Bob Dylan had a weekly radio show in which he played songs based on a selected Theme. His show ran for almost 3 years with huge success. We could do something like that , BUT post old and new music on a song theme. If anyone wishes, they could also write something fun they like about the song, or a little history about the song. It's not like nobody had ever written a sex song before - just nobody had just SAID it, and had it go Top Ten. Up until then, it had been innuendo and subtle phrasing. Even Prince was using car and horse metaphors for his big hits. George just lays it bare here - " ... I want your sex". Beatles - " Why Don’t We Do It In The Road " McCartney wrote this song after seeing 2 monkeys copulating in the street while on vacation in India. He marvelled in the simplicity of this natural scenario when compared to the emotional turmoil of human relationships. Why don´t humans just do it like that ? " ... Why Don’t We Do It In The Road ... ", now that´s an interesting thought. ---------- Bonus Track ------------ Someone has asked me if I knew any sexy "classical music" ? I am no expert but I do know something about music, Classical also has a few songs for making love on a quiet evening made just for two. Here is one which I suggest. Thanks for the post. I was also aware of this news a few years back. Its all so sad , entire recordings gone forever Its like the burning of the "Library of Alexandria". Only those with the original recordings on vinyl can pass on the historical value of some of those songs for the newer generations. This news also reminds me of another tragic news, I read a few years ago. Near Milwalkee or Chicago hundreds of thousands of rare recordings on vinyl and old 78rpm discs (master recordings ) were bulldozed and thrown into the river. All recordings destroyed. They were kept in an old warehouse, and when the city decided to bring the place down to make room for some new buildings next to the river, they merely brought in some Bulldozer machines and threw everything into the river. Sunk and destroyed forever !
