I'm really hoping that synths take a backseat on this album, that is literally my one hope and prayer. She shines so much with real instrumentation. I need this album to sonically resemble Red, folklore and evermore. Her synth songs have started to lack depth for me... It's okay to play the guitar sis. Like when I imagine how Floridaaa!!! sounds in my head, I hear drums and guitar and claps and percussion!!!! not a synthesiser!!! pls deliver taylor!!!! i also never posted my thoughts on the album cover but it feels very tame to me, the sepia tones etc i wish there was more contrast, more presence. but the tracklist cover is rather beautiful on all editions + the black dog cover is the best

I am literally obsessed with this girl you don't understand omg. Good Luck, Babe! genuinely one of the best, most refreshing pop songs I've heard recently. I really hope with the future music she really leans into this Cyndi Lauper / 80s synthpop style that she's been giving recently from the Tiny Desk, GLB and Coachella. Like, her visuals are everything too. She really gives. She is the next big thing. Number one single for her is on my 2024 bingo card...

Yeah. Like I know it’s her show, and this is Lana Del Rey she will do whatever she wants. But surely singing wordy, breathy and lengthy piano songs is not something that’s gonna make you feel confident especially when no one in the crowd is singing back? Even then, I can’t imagine choosing that slow of a set when like you said Brooklyn Baby, SYTH, National Anthem, Peppers, VB, Mariners, Lust for Life, The greatest were all there……. We were about 20 minutes away from getting Kintsugi, Fingertips and White Dress

I understand (as a swiftie) that this album is going to be pretty scathing as it refers to her and Joe’s relationship. But i can’t help but feel like the lyrics teased aren’t wowing me at the moment. I felt the same with the teasing of Slut, and some of the midnights songs. Her lyrics haven’t been hard hitting for me as of recent, and usually benefit from me hearing them in the context of the song / the way she delivers them. I’m still perched, just not gagged over anything that’s been shared yet

i mean, i don’t know what anyone would do in that situation when something you’ve prepared for for so long just goes wrong obviously it’s unprofessional, it was unexpected + all the nerves she would have had performing for coachella anyways. Shit happens
