right. Elizabeth was a person, but as the queen she is/was a political figure, and an embodied abstract idea of power to be criticized.

doesn't count to me cause it's not on spotify so i can't really listen to it the same as all her other albums

This album was the first time I experienced the phenomenon of lana releasing something that thematically fits in perfectly with where you are in life.

I was working up to 60 hours a week and was so tired I only cared about the simple things. I was at a transition point in life where I was just totally over my rebellious younger years. Fed up with clubbing, drinking, toxic people, and just wanted to be happy and healthy. 

I can't believe no one told me about this. I just stumbled upon this doc and when the song started I thought "hm. this girl sounds a lot like lana. nah. it's not her though" 

i might just be stupid but tbh if i didn't know, i'd think those two pictures are completely different people (the bedroom pics vs the prom pics)
