Currently reading the poetry collection Flowers of evil - Charles Baudelaire
And a book I ordered called Female Masculinity just came in the mail. It's about the butch lesbian experience, or something like that, i don't really know the details but it looked interesting

advice for locals: before you drag a celebrity for something, ask yourself if you would be saying this if they weren't famous and it was just a regular person

To be fair i haven't seen people really say that in years. anyone saying that is very out of touch

Maybe she's taking on the grunge era mindset that lyrics making sense doesn't matter because it's more about the mood and melody cause i'm pretty sure she's mentioned this before
-
anyone who tries to argue that lana copied (copying is different from being influenced by) mazzy star is just saying shit for the sake of saying shit and arguing against it is a waste of time
theres a million singers who have that stripped back/vulnerable feel that lana and hope share because it's just a common style of self expression. the only thing they have in common is they both managed to get into the public eye
(i know no one here is saying lana copied her i'm just talking in general) -
From Religion I thought "In the eye we'll stay" was "In thee I will stay"
i definitely have more but i can't think of them right now -

i dont even know because i've listened to it like 6 times in my life and after each time i completely forget how it went

Someone said a while ago that they actually like the cheesy lyrics because it shows how genuine the music is, and at first i disagreed, but now thats exactly how i feel. Not all of the lyrics being perfect prose or something makes it feel human

I do think there is something to be said for artistry and the way artists present themselves/what they want people to notice especially in their presence online but I won't get into it I just happen to have a strong aversion to the entire makeup / YouTuber / influencer sphere and the culture around it I know people won't agree with me
If what you're referring to is the way artists nowadays try to simultaneously be instagram influencers, then i get where you're coming from.
But that has pretty much nothing to do with the makeup itself and everything to do with what they value and what they're marketing

I just finished watching this movie. Takes place in the 1960s japanese gay/crossdressing scene. It's confusing and freaky. It was a huge influence on Stanley Kubricks A clockwork orange

they made a second account just to go on the marilyn manson thread to victim blame that woman who came out about manson abusing her and so they ended up getting both their accounts banned

Whatever!
This woman has all the money in the world to sue him. Instead she posts her shit on social media accounts.
Sick and tired of stories like these, the #meetoo, feminism, gender discussions or people trying to invent terminologies and its definitions. Some humans have too much time and obviously not enough success in their jobs.
Our planet really has bigger problems + all of this happens to ordinary people too and who the fuck cares? The VIPs? LOL
A normal 19 year old using common sense would have known that the following isn’t romantic! And her parents as well!
if your abuser had people who praised him around the world you would want to put the truth out there too

i could go off about that all day. i understand when people sing along because it's part of the concert experience but people who randomly scream and shout stupid things out trying to be funny is SO INFURIATING and disrespectful! That one video of some guy yelling "sit on my face" was well recieved by lana who found it funny but that behavior is still just selfish and attention seeking
