currently reading and really liking the devil aspect by craig russell! it's a murder mystery set in 1930s prague and stars an up and coming psychiatrist so it's kinda got vibes similar to the alienist which i'm into

tho i'm also working on these violent delights by micah nemerever and.....struggling......but it's giving me kill your darlings vibes

I was obsessed with Kill Your Darlings when i was like 15. I got a copy of Ulyssus just cause it was mentioned in the movie as a censored book but i still haven't read it cause it's big af and im scared. Also got interested in the Tropic of Cancer cause of this scene which i will be reading soon

  2. Currently reading the poetry collection Flowers of evil - Charles Baudelaire

And a book I ordered called Female Masculinity just came in the mail. It's about the butch lesbian experience, or something like that, i don't really know the details but it looked interesting

  3. anyone who tries to argue that lana copied (copying is different from being influenced by) mazzy star is just saying shit for the sake of saying shit and arguing against it is  a waste of time

theres a million singers who have that stripped back/vulnerable feel that lana and hope share because it's just a common style of self expression. the only thing they have in common is they both managed to get into the public eye

(i know no one here is saying lana copied her i'm just talking in general)

May not be politically correct but idgaf it's one of the things I like so much about Lana / Weyes Blood etc... I do think there is something to be said for artistry and the way artists present themselves/what they want people to notice especially in their presence online but I won't get into it :flop:  I just happen to have a strong aversion to the entire makeup / YouTuber / influencer sphere and the culture around it I know people won't agree with me :barrie:

If what you're referring to is the way artists nowadays try to simultaneously be instagram influencers, then i get where you're coming from.

But that has pretty much nothing to do with the makeup itself and everything to do with what they value and what they're marketing

oh wait I saw that mess :godlaugh2:

they made a second account just to go on the marilyn manson thread to victim blame that woman who came out about manson abusing her and so they ended up getting both their accounts banned :twirls:

    Whatever!

This woman has all the money in the world to sue him. Instead she posts her shit on social media accounts.

Sick and tired of stories like these, the #meetoo, feminism, gender discussions or people trying to invent terminologies and its definitions. Some humans have too much time and obviously not enough success in their jobs.

Our planet really has bigger problems + all of this happens to ordinary people too and who the fuck cares? The VIPs? LOL

A normal 19 year old using common sense would have known that the following isn’t romantic! And her parents as well!

if your abuser had people who praised him around the world you would want to put the truth out there too

upsetting to see the crowd acting like this when she's singing one of her most personal songs :/ I get singing along (quietly/calmly), but there's people screaming out, joking, laughing, talking to each other, etc. there's other songs to do that to  she's not even reacting to people's expressions like she usually does, she seems annoyed. also at 3:08 at the black narcissist line, someone says "fuck azealia banks"  really making the whole fanbase look horrible smh

i could go off about that all day. i understand when people sing along because it's part of the concert experience but people who randomly scream and shout stupid things out trying to be funny is SO INFURIATING and disrespectful! That one video of some guy yelling "sit on my face"  was well recieved by lana who found it funny but that behavior is still just selfish and attention seeking
