    Taylor Swift

I hope she'll either re-release Red or release an EP towards the end of the year. Apparently she did a lot of collaborations that didn't make it onto this record and I need some new stuff from her 'cause I'm already bored with this one
  2. she's said it's about three or four different people (“It’s about three or four different artists, I’d never say who, but I spend a lot of time looking at other people’s careers and watching them and taking note,”). i think one is lana, one is joni mitchell and one is britney spears (because in the lucky one tour vid there's letters saying "dear lucky" referencing britney's iconic lucky)
  3. the lucky one is definitely partially inspired by lana u kno
  4. black beauty is a type of black rose. according to wikipedia it's "a symbol for love after death. Meaning love can never die". in without you she sings "tell me life is beautiful" and now she's singing "life is beautiful, but you don't have a clue" and back in nov '11 she wrote "life is beautiful" on her wrist but i don't know how to draw any kind of conclusion from that from here: She is also hesitant to call herself a “blonde bombshell,” despite all her Harlow-esque come-ons. “One time I dyed my hair brown,” she said, “but I got in some trouble for that.” I wonder how she got into trouble for it?? like that sounds kinda fucked up
  5. Weird that she's changing her story now since she's previously insisted that she wrote it for the film.
  6. i wish they had picked a new doctor who wasn't white tbh it shouldn't be a woman though because that makes absolutely no sense
  7. when i was like 12/13 i really wanted to get the linkin park logo tattoed on me i thank the gods/parents/laws for not letting that happen. as a rule of thumb you should probably never get a tattoo of something you are a fan of ...if that makes sense. but hey as long as it's not this: this one is kinda cool though (if you ignore the text)
  8. So maybe she and Jimmy never had a relationship but he knew she liked him but he mainly wanted to support her music so that's why she facebooked him Yayo? Because obviously You're Gonna Love Me is partially about him, "Jim, I'mma dedicate this whole album to you/You told me to get my way, that's exactly what I'm gonna do" - he told her to do her own thing and maybe Yayo was the start of the AKA era, so she sent it to him because she wanted to show him that he had a positive effect on her career. I still think Radio is about Jimmy though, when she talked about it she was also talking about people "coming out of the woodworks", so maybe what she meant with him coming back was that he changed his mind, which brings me to Gods & Monsters. She's obviously written a lot of songs about their imaginary relationship and now he's interested in her because life imitates art. It also fit with her stalking admiring him from afar, "a groupie incognito posing as a real singer" and "If I get a little prettier, can I be your baby?". She literally made herself prettier (lips and so on).

    So Legit

tbh, I think this song is in poor taste. Even if it was written out of jealousy and only for Lana to hear, it's just a mean, spiteful song. "You’re looking like a man, you’re talking like a baby///Stefani, you suck, I know you’re selling twenty million, Wish they could have seen you when we booed you off in Williamsburg". She was what, 23-24 years old when she wrote this? She sounds like a bratty 14-year old. I wonder if she has any regrets about writing this
  11. I was thinking about what tied the whole trilogy together and when TV in Black & White leaked the line "troubles come in threes" really stood out to me. Maybe the trilogy is about the main troubles of her life (weaved in with honouring love lost, etc): BTD is about addiction and death; BJ is about K going to prison; VG is about her having to let go of her career ambitions because things weren't going anywhere and "relaxing into a more simple life".
  12. "I'm sure they would've done really well - at least better than Power & Control" Power & Control charted, according to wikipedia, on 193rd place. I didn't say it was a bad song, just that it didn't do well as a single and that Lies or Starring Role would've done better
  13. I think Eleven Diamonds is probably going to be something fashion related, she tweeted that it wasn't a musical project. She should've released Lies or Starring Role as singles, I'm sure they would've done really well - at least better than Power & Control - and they could've had more sales if they released the acoustic versions. Based on her releases I feel like her label think the only songs that will sell are those that sound more radio friendly and generic and I think that's keeping her from being as successful as she could be since she won't stand out as much. On the topic of Lies though, I really don't like the second verse. It starts of well with "You only ever touch me in the dark" and then it fails completely with "Only if we're drinking can you see my spark". It's a terrible line that could be so easily fixed and still rhyme, something like "can you see my heart". Just ugh, spark, really Marina, really? And "the night is your woman"-bit is terrible too.
  14. Yeah, it's definitely Hotel California. She says "You came in when The Eagles were on, always listen to Hotel California". I think her own song she listens to might be Video Games, she mentioned it in her beatjuice favorites.
  15. I just updated mine with the newly leaked songs. I have my unreleased in five volumes, based on Sitar's Velvet Crowbar and Tired of Singing the Blues work really well together and so does Match Made in Heaven and Maha Maha in my humble opinion. And yeah I know Burning Desire isn't unreleased but it fits well with the rest. I work thematically and visually y'know. I am an artist Slightly off-topic but I seem to remember that Lana has said that she has a playlist with 50 songs that she plays every day and tortures her team with, but I'm not sure if that's something I've made up because I can't find a source for her saying it. She did say in this interview (at around 11:20) that she has an 8 song playlist that she plays every morning but I'm sure she's also talked about the 50-song one. Three of the songs in the 8-one are Teen Idle, I'm on Fire and Hotel California (which I've put in the 50-one too). It kills me that I will never know all the songs or the order of them Anyways, these are the songs I've assumed she has in her 50-playlist and it's based on this and this interview:
  16. Updated. Pretty sure it's "King Creole", I definitely hear a cr-sound after king
  17. Thank you, I edited it. Still unsure about "Copacabana, yes, and/in my party dress", I hear 'in' too but the leaker posted 'and'
