I paid for that album THREE MONTHS early. I’ll be damned if I don’t get to listen to it 30hrs early. -
the Swifties clutching their pearls over leaks are hilarious. Do they think Travis Kelce’s going to come and personally kiss them on the lips for their service?
they’d never survive for a second on LB lmao

it seems so anticlimactic
I literally think it was just an Easter egg for fortnight being the single/mv lol -
This album is fucking me up and making me want to reach out to everyone I ever wronged

SpoilerNo one can relate to “Who’s Afraid Of Little Old Me?” more than me 😭 I’m so in my feelings bc I feel like that song is about me/my faults/my general aloofness/how out of the touch I am/the cracks and crevices I’ve created for no good reason 😭😭😭

3 minutes ago, Fingertips said:The album is so good to me because it combines the summery 80's nostalgia of 1989, the folky ambiance & lyricism of folklore/evermore, the bedroom pop of Midnights, and the sonic variety of Red. It has a bit of everything for everyone. Although I can tell this will be a transition album for her, I'd consider it part of my top three from her catalog (with folklore and RED TV)
I missed you 🤧 -
I’m never shutting up about “Who’s Afraid Of Little Old Me?” I’m never shutting up about this song. Top 10 Taylor songs (and not #10)

SpoilerIt’s not going to be divisive amongst the GP. It’s quintessential Taylor. Critics may call it safe. Fans that were hoping for Woodvale or a brand new genre will be mad, but I think it has something for everyone.
lyrics: 9.5/10. So quotable. So gutting
music: 8/10. Not as many ear worms as Midnights like with antihero. More catchy in a folklore way than a pop way.

SpoilerI’ve almost finished the album (thank god it’s a WFH day and I don’t have meetings so I can rock out to this while making spreadsheets) and it sounds nothing like Midnights. It’s wordier, and less awkward lyrically. Much more moody. I don’t know what I’d compare it too tbh. It has elements of hyperpop and also country/folk, all over a very sparkly synth background. It’s sort of like if Reputation was more 1989, but if lyrical more folklore/evermore
